Throughout the conflict, @Keir_Starmer has been clear: we must see full de-escalation. In the Middle East this week, he met with our international allies to ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and thanked our Armed Forces for their tireless work to keep us safe. Britain has been buffeted by crises for almost two decades now. We will emerge from this one stronger, more secure and more resilient.

The two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran today is welcomed by the UK and our allies. The goal now must be a lasting end to the war. Alongside our international partners, the UK will work to ensure a return to freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

Today, Christians come together to celebrate hope, renewal, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. A very happy Easter from Downing Street.

Yesterday the Prime Minister attended the installation of the Archbishop of Canterbury. Dame Sarah Mullally - the first woman to hold the role - will play a key role in our national life.

Good news: we've secured The Crucible's future with investment to keep this iconic venue thriving. It’s a huge boost for the city’s cultural and sporting heritage, and a win for everyone who loves the theatre and snooker.

This is a deeply shocking antisemitic arson attack.  My thoughts are with the Jewish community who are waking up this morning to this horrific news.  Antisemitism has no place in our society.  Anyone with any information must come forward to the police.
