The x402 mechanism requires users to sign or approve transactions via the web interface, which are then sent to a backend server. The backend server extracts the funds and performs the minting, finally returning a result to the user. When we onboard to x402scan.com, we need to store the private key on the server in order to call contract methods. This step may expose admin privileges because the admin private key is connected to the internet at this stage, potentially leading to a leak of permissions. If a hacker obtains the private key, they can take over those privileges and reassign user funds to carry out an attack. We are still investigating the specific attack details.

Due to this private key leak, more than a dozen of the team’s test and main wallets have also been compromised (ex. screenshot below). We have promptly reported the incident to law enforcement authorities and will keep the community informed with timely updates as the investigation progresses.

看了下 @402bridge 合约 owner 被改是这笔： basescan.org/tx/0x089a63364… 看去是私钥被盗，不排除内鬼所为（这个说法不代表项目方团队集体作恶，因为不是典型的 rugpull），402bridge.fun 刚注册两天，已经停止服务了，接着“黑客” 0x2b8F95560b5f1d1a439dd4d150b28FAE2B6B361F 将所有授权给这个桥合约的用户 USDC 给批量盗走，获利不多，换成了 4.2 ETH 目前跨链在 Arbitrum 上，还没继续异动... 这是 402 协议有关服务的第一个公开被盗案例。

现在的很多x402实际上是在x402scan.com部署一个服务，这个服务会将链上交互转发到项目方服务器，然后项目方再与链上交互实现代币发放。这中间肯定是需要将链上合约的私钥放在服务器上的，一旦项目方服务器被攻破，那整个合约相关的地址都会暴露在风险之中。

According to community feedback, a token theft incident has occurred. Our technical team is currently investigating the entire process. All users are advised to immediately revoke any existing authorizations and transfer assets out of their wallets as soon as possible. We will release a full report on the incident and provide a reasonable explanation and resolution afterward.
