It’s true. Universities, scientific research & science publishing and meetings have been infiltrated and have been / are being destroyed from the inside. Any scientists who raise concerns get cancelled, subjected to workplace mobbing (ie bullying), fired or offered ‘voluntary’ redundancy. There are multiple motives why different people participate in the mobbing, stay silent when colleagues are run out and change their behaviour to avoid being targeted.

Dr. Angus Dalgleish — one of Britain’s most respected oncologists and immunologists — is sounding a serious alarm. He warns that we’ve entered a new dark age in universities, scientific research, and government, driven by political correctness and woke ideology. Dalgleish calls it a cancer that has infected the heart of academia and the soul of the civil service. Political correctness, he says, is fundamentally anti-scientific: it decides in advance what you’re allowed to say, observe, and conclude. Truth becomes secondary to dogma. He compares the current denial to alcoholism — nothing gets fixed until institutions first admit there’s a deep problem. It’s a sobering warning from a senior scientist who has watched the rot spread for years. The clip is only 1:56 long, but it hits hard. Are we already too far gone, or is there still time to push back before these institutions completely lose their ability to seek truth?

I truly don't know what to do with leaders who argue, seemingly in good faith, that people who oppose them must be silenced because they have the wrong ideas, all the while being absolutely indignant when it is their opponents who do the same to them.
Again - here we have the example of Ardern, a liberal, but both sides do exactly the same. Is there anything at all that can be done to shake all these people awake? Human dogmatism is apparently boundless.
Covid has at least brought me clarity on one principle: if you are in favor of censorship because the other side is "so dangerous", then something is wrong - not with them, but with you. If your ideas are not convincing people and you need to silence them in order to keep the floor, then it's your ideas that should be questioned. The one and only long-term, effective remedy is debate - not censorship.

Imagine lacking the capability to self-reflect and being able to understand the ramifications of making such a comment. Not least how crassly irresponsible it is to say this.
Aside from the very clear admission of it being a war crime, what does it say about you as a person?
What is this telling the world about the US? It is another classic example of end of empire days.
The damage it does to the US on the world stage is irreparable.
You are clearly completely unfit to hold the office of Defence Secretary.
