No one who belongs to that land would ever do such a thing. No one native to the region would violate the olives in such a way. These people are foreign colonizers to their core—soulless, cultureless, and morally destitute.
Samira Mohyeddin سمیرا@SMohyeddin

Zionists uproot the olive trees and then they uproot the people. Occupation demands dependence from the occupier. Food, water, electricity. The necessities of life are only to come from the overlord. Nakba past and present.

Why does @wesstreeting thinks this overnight staffing situation at ICUs in a major hospital is satisfactory? He is needlessly endangering patients lives by his decision to replace qualified drs with inferiorly trained staff who lack the depth of knowledge required for these roles

I'm reading the BMA doctors' testimonies about physician and anaesthesia associates. Horror story after horror story. Here's just one of them.

Why is there no money to train, employ & pay doctors? But there is unlimited money to train, employ & pay NON-DOCTORS to try & replace actual doctors Non-doctors do not have the knowledge, qualifications, training, or experience to replace doctors It's unregulated & it's unsafe
Fraser Nelson@FraserNelson

Half of trainee British doctors finishing this summer had no job lined up. Yet the NHS is poaching foreign doctors. One in six of Nigeria's are now in the UK. The real scandal isn't pay: it's a broken training pipeline. My column:- times-comment.com/nhs

This is the crux of it for me. The @RCPhysicians, @rcpsych and @GeriSoc have all said they can’t support this Bill. They have also said it does not adequately protect vulnerable people. What do these Peers (and the 314 MPs who voted aye) know that these institutions don’t?
Lord Moylan@danielmgmoylan

I can’t think of a single Royal College that supports the Bill as written. Will peers calling for @UKHouseofLords to rush through approval of the Bill just dwell on that fact for one minute and listen to themselves?

It ought to be an international scandal that the United States has sanctioned the UN special rapporteur, stripped her of bank accounts. Same with ICC. In order to defend Israeli atrocities in Gaza the US (aided by Britain) is trashing all legal and moral international norms.

I stand with Francesca Albanese. No one should be punished for reporting the truth. Silencing her doesn’t change the reality; it only exposes the pressure to hide it.

Choice isn’t real when the vulnerable feel nudged towards death. Every country that opened this door has watched safeguards collapse and eligibility expand. True dignity comes from proper care, NOT state-sanctioned killing.
MyDeath, MyDecision@MDMDmydecision

We cannot let this Bill be derailed. If you believe in choice and control at the end of life, write to the Lords today. It takes less than two minutes, and your voice needs to be heard. #AssistedDying 👉 Send a postcard to the Lords now: …flords.mydeath-mydecision.postbug.app

On what basis were Christian families expelled from Jerusalem? 20,000 Christians were expelled by Israeli forces from West Jerusalem. The Christian neighbourhoods of Katamon, Talbiya were evacuated and then given to Jewish immigrants. BASICALLY, THEY KICKED ALL INDIGENEOUS PALESTINIANS OUT OF THEIR HOMES FOR EUROPEAN ZIONIST JEWS

A harrowing account from imprisoned Palestianin journalist Farah Abu Ayyash has emerged: Her lawyer, Hassan Abadi, who recently visited her in Damon Prison, said that what she shared was not just a legal testimony, but a direct, personal description of the severe abuse she has suffered since her arrest. In the letter conveyed through her lawyer, Farah recounts: “I experienced so many horrific things. They arrested me in the middle of the night with dozens of soldiers, two female recruits, and numerous jeeps and police vehicles. I never imagined I would be targeted. They took me to Karmeh Tzur, tied me to a chair outside, next to a pipe dripping filthy water onto me.” She continues describing the torture: “The female soldiers tightened the white plastic restraints on my wrist so hard that my artery swelled. An officer eventually cut them off with pliers. Dogs tore at my pants. Then they put me in solitary—just a room filled with electrical boxes. They pretended not to know I was a journalist. They forced me to unlock my phone… I work with complete transparency.” Farah describes her transfer to the Russian Compound: “It was like a horror film. They shoved me inside with handcuffs, leg shackles, and a heavy chain on my shoulders. Nahshon officers beat me. A female soldier grabbed my hair, slammed my head into the wall, and ordered me to kiss the Israeli flag. I refused. She kicked me. I was sick.” Her voice, she says, was shaking as she added: “In Ramla, they put me in an abandoned room and turned off the light. I screamed. Then they placed me in an underground cell infested with cockroaches, insects, and bedbugs. I cried all night. Cockroaches covered my face and body. The marks are still there.” She explains that she was later taken back to the Russian Compound, fainted multiple times from the cold, and that the transport conditions were “extremely harsh and terrifying.” After 55 days, she was moved to Damon Prison. Expressing her disappointment in her peers, she says: “I’m hurt by my fellow journalists. They didn’t create pressure or raise their voices for my release. I was arrested because of my work. I hope every free journalist hears me.” Farah also sends words to her family, especially her mother: “I miss you so much… I tell the girls about the ma’amoul you make. My most cherished memories are the poems you wrote for me and how I used to recite them on the radio.”

Day768 of the Palestinian genocide. Genocide survivors living in rain-flooded tents. Images of tortured detainees spreading online. Apartheid Israel still selling weapons worldwide, even in Europe, where conferences on Palestine are cancelled. If this doesn’t nauseate us,what will
Mosab Abu Toha@MosabAbuToha

My wife and I just spoke with our families in Gaza. Most of them told us they’ll be sleeping tonight on mattresses and blankets completely soaked with rainwater. More than half of our relatives are children, some under the age of five. And yes, tonight they will sleep on wet mattresses and blankets, in a tent on the street. I know that sharing this won’t change anything for them, not tonight, and not even next year. How do I know? Because babies have burned in tents, been beheaded, and been buried beneath the rubble, and not a single person stepped in to save their lives. So how am I supposed to expect that anyone will save the life of a child who may die from the cold? Can a camera capture the cold the way it captures flames? Anyway, the only reason I’m writing this is because they told me these things, and I feel it is my duty to share them with you. It is a responsibility. A responsibility for them to speak as they suffer, a responsibility for me to carry their story, and a responsibility, ah, what a responsibility, for you to take action. Yes, it is your money that is killing us and funding our murderers and oppressors. It is your governments that are protecting our slaughterers.

Agree with @DrNeenaJha I’ve done ✅paediatric training & exams in medical school ✅2 years hospital paediatric jobs ✅GP training including paediatrics ✅30 years GP Kids are scary, can look well & deteriorate rapidly No one should be seeing kids without comprehensive training
Neena Jha@DrNeenaJha

A nurse, who’s just completed a 2 yr part time ACP…. now wants to assess kids with acute conditions in GP independently She admits she has NO PAEDIATRIC TRAINING AT ALL! And is asking whether she can manage acute kids in GP….by just doing an online module in paeds??!!

So, while waits to see a consultant or get treatment can take months - on day 2 of contacting the Assisted Dying Help Service you’ll be assigned a Personal Navigator to assist you through the process. This will operate ‘with no exceptions’ for weekend days or bank holidays.’
Nikki da Costa@nmdacosta

It seems to be about getting you through the process, fast not safety. If you are coerced or pressured, or just in a really terrible situation and feeling suicidal, there is even less chance of it being caught. It's an escalator from the moment ending your life is raised 3/
