Look to the skies as the @AFThunderbirds practice for the #USAFA2026 graduation ceremony. During the May 27 practice from 12:30 to 5 p.m., Falcon Stadium & surrounding parking lots will be restricted. Drivers should not stop along Interstate 25 or Academy roads to view the demo.

The U.S. Air Force Academy will have limited operations on May 15 and May 25, 2026. Installation access and on-base facilities may be affected on both dates. Please contact individual offices for updated hours and access information.

#USAFA Prep School Cadet Candidates will be participating in their CULEX on May 13 & 14 from 0500-1800. Expect foot traffic in the vicinity of the Prep School, Pine Valley, Par Course, Equestrian Center, USAFA Archery Range & the area surrounding Ice Lake & West Monument Creek.

served as the first-ever F-22 Demonstration Team Commander. If confirmed, he will return to lead the Academy’s 47-month development program, preparing future officers for the @usairforce and @USSpaceForce, bringing extensive operational & leadership experience to the role.

The President of the United States nominated Maj. Gen. Paul D. Moga to serve as the 23rd Superintendent of #USAFA & promotion to the rank of Lieutenant General. If confirmed by the Senate, he will succeed Lt. Gen. Tony D. Bauernfeind, who has led the institution since Aug. 2024.

#USAFA cadets attended a wreath laying ceremony recognizing the aviators whose discipline, courage & commitment shaped military aviation history. We had the honor of welcoming the widows of two DOTA, linking their legacy of service & sacrifice to the next generation of leaders.

#USAFA is repositioning statues & memorials to strengthen cadet connection to heritage & improve public access. Memorials bring history into daily cadet life, while displays at the Hosmer Visitor Center create a more accessible experience for visitors. usafa.edu/statues
