Just because something is legal, doesn't make it moral. If you wouldn't subject your family dog to a life in cages, forced pregnancies, separations and ultimately slaughter in a gas chamber - you already know in your heart that this is wrong. Quote from former U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice, Potter Stewart.

'Normal' is not a justification. It's an excuse. Like this post if you agree change is not just necessary, it's possible. Separation footage: Farm Transparency Project

Our disregard for animals is nothing short of disgusting. 🤢 Can we not agree that we do not have the right to exploit others and inflict a lifetime of suffering... just for profit? Because if you agree with that fundamental principle of compassion - you have to ditch dairy.

Gas chambers are in the news. But not for the reasons you may expect. As covered in Larder Magazine: ‘The UK Government has agreed to invest in the reopening of the Redcar carbon dioxide (CO₂) plant as part of a contingency plan to safeguard domestic CO₂ supplies amid concerns over potential disruption linked to the conflict in Iran and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.’ And this CO₂ is destined for gas chambers, where 9 out of 10 pigs in the UK are killed. This article includes this commentary from Campaigns Director, Ayrton Cooper: “In just over a decade we’ve seen a 73% increase in the gassing of pigs in slaughterhouses in the UK; it is now the method of slaughter for 9 out of 10 pigs. Despite clear evidence showing how painful and distressing this method of killing is, the Government seems adamant in increasing supply of gases rather than tackling the issue directly and ending the gassing of pigs.” Read the coverage here: lardermag.co.uk/redcar-co%E2%8…

Defaulting to oat milk isn’t just a trend — it’s a more inclusive choice 🌱 Around 70% of the world’s population is lactose intolerant, so offering plant-based options helps make everyday spaces more accessible for everyone. Together, let's make oat the new normal!

At The Canteen in Bristol, oat milk is now the default as part of an open-ended trial period ☕🌱 We stopped by on launch day to see it in action—chatting with staff, hearing from customers, and soaking up the buzz. The response? Super positive. More cafés are starting to rethink the norm, and this is just the beginning. 🎥 Want to see how it went? You can watch our full video here: youtu.be/jYlN70Mx4Cw

At The Canteen in Bristol, oat milk is now the default in coffee as part of our Udderly Kind campaign, and it’s challenging what “normal” looks like. This open-ended trial puts plant-based choice front and centre, not as an alternative, but as the starting point. We visited on launch day to hear from staff, chat with customers, and try the drinks ourselves. The response? Overwhelmingly positive. Do you think more cafés should follow their example? Like this post if so!

Oat milk can cost more, but cafés are getting smart about it 🌱☕ From small cup fees and tiny price tweaks to brand partnerships, loyalty perks, and cutting waste, businesses are finding creative ways to make oat milk the default without raising prices. Add in a little customer education, and it’s a win for profits, animals and the planet. ☕ Find out more on our latest blog: animaljusticeproject.com/post/oat-milk-…

As part of our Café Outreach Weekend of Action, we’re focusing on three simple actions that can spark lasting change ☕🌱 By having friendly conversations with cafés, whether in person or over the phone, you can help encourage more sustainable, ethical choices. You can also leave them a review written to encourage positive change or submit their details to us directly, and we will give them a nudge! Check out the details below to get involved and be part of the change 💚 Find out more here: animaljusticeproject.com/post/will-you-…

Did you see this story on Sky News this week? More than 250 dogs were found crammed into a single property, living in filth. When the image was shared, many people were quick to call it fake. The RSPCA confirmed it was real. This is what suffering looks like. But this isn’t where it ends. Pigs are confined in filthy, overcrowded conditions where they endure the same neglect, fear and distress. We see individuals like them again and again, including in facilities that meet RSPCA ‘welfare’ standards. So why is suffering unacceptable for dogs, yet certified when it comes to pigs used for ‘meat’? Different species. Same capacity to suffer. Same system that fails them. We don’t question cruelty when it’s familiar. We justify it. It’s time to confront the inconsistency.

Fewer cows trapped in the dairy industry might sound like progress, but the reality is more troubling Despite declining numbers, the dairy industry is producing more milk than ever 🥛⬆️ In October 2025, the GB milking herd fell to 1.63 million (the lowest on record) yet production continues to rise 📉📈 So what does this really mean for the cows? 🤔 Read more on our latest blog: animaljusticeproject.com/post/are-shrin…

Hundreds of conversations took place this weekend in Leicester Square as we showed the public the cruelty of eating sheep and lambs. Thank you to Ellie Fleming (vegangaze on Instagram) for this coverage of what was a memorable and impactful day 🧡

Over 75% of the public are meat-eaters... but what percentage realise they are eating babies? For many, Easter is a time for eating ‘a leg of lamb’, yet the disconnect is present even in the language. Eating a lamb’s leg means killing baby animals, sometimes as young as 10 weeks old. Around 13 million sheep and lambs are killed every year, and Easter is considered a peak period for this slaughter. But we can choose another way. Let’s Skip the Lamb this spring.

We’re in Leicester Square today, urging the public to ‘Skip the Lamb’ this Easter. Joined by dedicated activists and a powerful street stunt featuring a lamb and butcher, we’re challenging passersby to confront the reality behind their choices... and who ultimately pays the price. Baby lambs are typically sent to slaughter so people can eat a ‘leg of lamb’ when they are just 3–6 months old, but some are killed as early as 10 weeks. It doesn't have to be this way. Skip the slaughter this spring & like this post if you agree 💚
