@davidson_jon It’s so disproportionate - fines for persistent tardiness by clubs yet only a fine for flagrant deception by a club that wanted to break away into an ESL. No wonder other clubs abd their supporters feel aggrieved.

In a week Chelsea are fined for deception & concealment after 36 secret payments totalling £47m + Leeds United are fined for delaying the kick-off multiple times. Just as well the Premier League found no sporting advantage in either case hey?

@CNewton1000 It is written in but the point here is that the PL has seen fit to fine Chelsea £10m - without a point deduction - in an era in which they won multiple trophies for £47m worth of secret payments. Leeds have been fined £0.5m for being 21 minutes late.

@apopey If this is written within the rules of the game, Leeds United management and Officials must have known about it so why allow it to happen not once or twice but 9 times?

@davidson_jon I would expect others will have also. £0.5m quid & rising so far for 9 infringements of time keeping this season for #LUFC . £10m fine for Chelsea for an 8 year period of £47m worth of secret payments to unregistered agents & 3rd parties relating to transfers. Proportionality?

@Ian_A_Woodcock The day isn’t over yet Ian. Anyway, I’m trying to work out if Leeds spent those extra minutes during the Fulham half time in January to sign a player who could help win them the Champions League… say David Luiz for example.

To date this season #LUFC have been fined more than £0.5m for delaying kick-off/ re-start. Sanction agreed from now on for further infringement is £100k for any 60-90 second delay £130k for any 90-120 second delay £170k for any delay in excess of 120 seconds.
