Today @DutchPolar visited the Maczek Memorial in Breda again. We talked about the rescue; 2nd Polish armoured Division rescued Polar Bears twice in WWII. After the visit and our ceremony on the cemetery we visited the son of a Polish Liberator, Josef Kubicki. #forgottenheroes

Yesterday @DutchPolar had her annual network evening in C-Cinema in Roosendaal. With speaker military historic Johan van Doorn a big succes. Afterwords a drink and a talk. Thanks to all our supporters and visitors. Without you no @DutchPolar

This evening @DutchPolar were on the big inspiration evening in @Steenbergen regarding 80years of liberation in the #BrabantseWal municipalities. It was 100% networking. We made nice connections, listened to live music & invited participants for our own liberation event in 2024.

Yesterday a small delegation visited Fort2 #Wommelgem near #Antwerp, where a militaria event took place. In #WW2 this fort Luftwaffe Werkstatt Antwerp was a Reparaturbetrieb. Allies were billeted there in 1944. Now there are various exhibitions, including about V bomb terror.
