Hon. Stanley E. Woodward Jr., Associate Attorney General, U.S. Department of Justice, on the exceptionalism of our structured form of government: “The real key to American exceptionalism is the structure of our government. Without a secure structure of separated powers, our Bill of Rights would be worthless, as are the bills of rights of many nations across the globe. Our Constitution is an architecture of power. It assigns responsibility. It creates accountability. It channels democratic authority through institutions specifically designed to preserve liberty.”

It requires a return to constitutional first principles, which is why this administration has focused on restoring clarity, discipline, and democratic accountability across the executive branch.”

American farmers deserve competitive markets, not contractual restrictions that limit choice and innovation. This Department of Justice will use every appropriate tool to protect farmers and preserve competition.

Last week, during Police Week, we honored the K9s killed in the in the line of duty. These four-legged officers are public servants who place themselves between police officers and peril without hesitation, detect dangerous bombs before they detonate, and find missing loved ones who otherwise wouldn’t return home. These courageous K9s are the backbone of our law enforcement. Thank you to @NPK9Foundation for the opportunity to recognize our fallen friends during Police Week.

The Department of Justice is HARD at work. @ASGWoodward makes one thing clear: Americans are SAFER today than they were two years ago. Law and order is back. Period.

The Department of Justice is committed to protecting America’s children.  Today’s resolution furthers that commitment and puts providers of so-called "gender affirming care" on notice that this Department will vigorously enforce federal law where children are put at risk.

“President Trump promised to put an end to the weaponization of the legal process, and today’s lawsuit against the D.C. Bar makes good on that promise,” said @ASGWoodward.  “The D.C. Bar will no longer be permitted to probe sensitive Executive Branch deliberations and target Executive Branch officials with whom they happen to politically disagree, and Federal attorneys will once again be free to share their candid legal advice with their bosses and colleagues.”
