BREAKING: ASU didn’t end DEI. One ASU administrator says the university renamed centers while continuing the same work behind the scenes.

To assure the investigator that ASU remains progressive, she cited comments she attributed to ASU President Michael Crow: “ASU managed to avoid the worst of the vitriol against organizations that celebrate or at least observe DEI.”

Then she explained why she thinks the word “diversity” became a problem: “Specifically the name ‘diversity’ really seems to bother him (Trump).” Her explanation: “It implies fewer white people. And that is threatening.”
