I don't remember much of the next two hours. The furniture being broken and moved, items thrown, one brother demanding to view a warrant...all of the noise was muffled and dulled. At one point, they took my brother back to one of the six squad cars that had lined the street 13/

My favorite July 4 was 23 years ago. My oldest brother had recently moved to Vancouver with his wife, the first time since I had been alive that the family wasn't all together. And while I hated seeing him leave, I understood that it was just a natural part of the dynamic 3/
