Day 5 of March Break,Freedom Friday! Ss wrapped up the week with PJs, enjoyed DJ-inspired music and artist guessing games, and freeze dances. Ss made cars from cardboards relaxed in them to listen to songs. To end the day Ss baked delicious cupcakes together.

Day 4 – “Everyone’s Got Talent: Enjoy the Show” Ss showcased their unique talents through dancing, fashion walks, and both solo and group performances. They also shared their creativity by presenting artwork, crafts and designing clothes. It was fun and engaging for everyone.

Day 3 of March Break was all about “Wonder Wednesday” and building challenges! Ss explored their creativity and problem-solving skills as they designed and built unique creations, alone, or working in teams. Great to see their imagination come to life through hands-on learning.

Day 2 of March Break was “Green Day,” with Ss and staff dressed in green. Ss enjoyed creative activities like making hats, shamrocks, and exploring sensory play with green slime, playdough, and clay, all centered around the theme of green.

Today was Monday Masterpiece! We worked creatively on our tote bags, and everyone made their own unique design. We also created mini books, wrote our own stories, and shared them with our peers. It was a fun and creative day! 😊

EDP Summer Program is in full swing 🌞. The children are making ice cream to beat the heat and leading fun activities!

Thank you David, @thebucketguy for visiting all of our summer programs and showing Ss how to make music using bucket and different techniques. The rhythm and the steady beats you taught us were absolutely amazing. Bucket drumming is so much fun🤩

We had a group STEM challenge last Friday. We designed and built structures with cups and popsicle sticks. Ss used their problem solving skills to ensure their structure wouldn’t fall by adding strength to the base. Ss enjoyed the team effort. Avondale PS EDP

Thank you, United for Literacy, for visiting our Summer program at Brookmill PS EDP to have a reading session and other activities with our students under the tent. It was a fun experience for our students. Thank you again for promoting literacy in our program.😊

The Ss brainstormed ideas for what to do with their findings from nature. They decided to create a large group nature art and crafts project. This activity sparked their creativity and they were pleased with the use of natural resources in art. This was such an engaging activity

Today we constructed different bridges with blocks, magnetic tiles, wooden blocks etc. Ss worked in teams to brainstorm ideas. Some bridges held up well, while others needed some adjustments. Overall, the students had a fun and educational experience learning about engineering.

With the heavy rain this week, Ss at Avondale EDP turned it into a fun and creative water play activities! 😊It was a great time constructing our boats and testing them on the water. Ss also worked together to build a large group boat inside the classroom using blocks. #teamwork

Our first week’s theme has been all about sports. Students at Avondale PS EDP created their version of an obstacle course. It was so much fun balancing and enhancing their skills such as memory, problem solving and coordination.
