This summer, AgScape is encouraging families to keep curiosity growing with the free Summer Activity Kit filled with activities to help children explore where their food comes from. The kit helps parents transform summer experiences with their kids into valuable opportunities for food and agriculture discovery. Within the kit, families are also introduced to the ON Farm Fun app developed by Agritourism Ontario. This interactive platform connects users with local farms, markets, and events with maps, a built-in chatbot for planning, and family-friendly games to use during trips. Over the past month, AgScape delivered 72 workshops across 18 school boards, while also connecting with EarlyON programs, private schools, and homeschool communities through our Teacher Ambassador Program (TAP). These FREE hands-on learning experiences help youth build their agriculture and food literacy through engaging topics such as STEM, pollinators, food systems, sustainability, and more. Five years ago, AgScape launched the Sustainable Agriculture in Canada campaign with Brescia University College aimed at bridging the gap between Canadian consumers and farmers. Through weekly video discussions, graduate students at Brescia provided insights on what they learned about the environmental, economic, and social aspects of sustainable farming. 🌱 Since the campaign launch in 2021, we have remained committed to amplifying the voices of Canadian farmers through our free programs and resources. As we continue to grow into the next 35 years, we are pleased to honour our past initiatives and explore how they have shaped our vision for the future of agriculture and food education. 🎥 Watch the videos from the campaign on all of our social media pages! 💬 How are you helping support sustainable agriculture practices? Let's discuss below! #AgScapeTurns35

Over 2,000 neighbours, farm animals, robotic milkers, delicious breakfast sandwiches, and a visit from @SenatorRobBlack! We had a blast at @FarmFoodCareON's recent Breakfast on the Farm event at Roy-a-Lea Farms in Binbrook. At our booth, we found conversations returning to one, big question: How can we make sure today's youth understand where their food comes from, how it's grown, and how it gets to them? 🚜🌾 While visits to farms are a fantastic first step, building deep agriculture and food literacy takes time. This is why AgScape brings dynamic, bundled workshop experiences directly into Ontario classrooms - returning year after year to build critical thinking skills and inspire the next generation of agri-food changemakers and innovators! ☀️ Happy Summer! Keep the adventure going this season: visit a local farm, enjoy fresh Ontario food, and tag your journeys with @AgScapeON and #loveONfood! 📌 Educators & Partners: Want to bring agriculture to life in your classroom or community this fall? As we continue to celebrate AgScape’s 35th year bringing agriculture and food education to Ontario classrooms, we are proud to showcase our educational programs and how they have helped shape our story. Today, we are highlighting our free Virtual Field Trip (VFT) program, where students have the opportunity to discover our diverse food system by touring agricultural facilities and interacting with industry experts. 💻 In February 2021, the VFT program was launched with @farmfoodcareon and @4hontario 🙋 In 2023, we held our first two French VFTs and have since continued to expand our bilingual programming 📝 Also in 2023, we introduced the Activity Kit component which includes activities that enhance the VFT experience 🌎 In 2024, we delivered two international VFTs to a coffee farm in Hawaii and a cocoa farm in Costa Rica To learn more and watch past Virtual Field Trips, visit: agscape.ca/virtual-field-… #AgScapeTurns35
