@Tantacrul Photoshop uses 3 horizontal dots with a little flap, which works. Perhaps it's not the icon that is important, but positioning it right next to the permanent icons. In your example, placing the cog all the way to the right may signal a disconnect from the icons on the left.

ICON HELP NEEDED FOR AUDACITY 4! I seem to be creatively challenged at the moment. Perhaps the community can come to the rescue?
