Today, I turn a year older. And every year on this day, I reflect on something far bigger than me. For a long time, I believed luck was something that just happens to you. Then I realised, luck can be engineered. Opportunity can be democratised. Hope is not just a feeling; it is a system we can build.

The CIA is the most resourced intelligence operation on earth. It combines unmatched global reach with massive resources, advanced satellite and digital intelligence capabilities, and a deep operational history stretching back to the Cold War. It has been involved in coups, assassinations, drone programs, and psychological operations across nearly every continent. It shares intelligence seamlessly with the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand through the Five Eyes network a signals intelligence alliance that collectively surveils more of the world’s communications than any other partnership in existence. The CIA’s power is breadth. It is everywhere, always. Mossad operates differently. Smaller, leaner, and surgically precise. Its ability to conduct covert operations including high-profile targeted eliminations continues to demonstrate operational superiority that larger agencies struggle to match. Its HUMINT capabilities are considered unmatched, with operatives skilled at embedding themselves inside adversarial nations and cultures for years before acting. Mossad has hunted Nazi war criminals across continents, neutralized nuclear programs, and in 2024 pulled off one of the most audacious supply chain attacks in intelligence history rigging pagers carried by Hezbollah operatives in Lebanon to explode simultaneously. Despite being allies with the CIA, Mossad has been caught spying on the United States to gain strategic advantages. That tells you everything about how it operates. No permanent friends. Only permanent objectives. MI6 is the oldest on this list, founded in 1909, and its power lies in patience and placement. Its signature approach is placing undercover operatives in strategic positions for years sometimes decades gathering intelligence slowly but thoroughly. It helped break the Enigma code in World War II, penetrated Soviet spy networks during the Cold War, and remains one of the most skilled human intelligence services on earth. It operates quietly, preferring depth over spectacle, and its partnership with GCHQ gives it a formidable digital surveillance arm that most people never hear about. The FSB is what happens when a domestic intelligence agency is given the tools and mandate of a foreign one. It possesses an extensive network and significant operational flexibility aggressively safeguarding Russia’s interests both inside and far beyond its borders. It is the direct successor to the KGB, and under Putin himself a former KGB officer it has carried that institutional DNA forward. Its alleged operations include the poisoning of dissidents on foreign soil, cyber warfare campaigns against Western democracies, and deep counterintelligence operations designed to identify and neutralize foreign agents operating inside Russia. The FSB’s power is intimidation and reach disguised as a domestic agency. RAW was born out of military failure. After India’s intelligence shortcomings in the 1960s, it was created in 1968 with a singular focus never be caught off guard again in its own region. Its notable operations include a decisive role in the creation of Bangladesh in 1971, support for India’s first nuclear test, and outmaneuvering Pakistani intelligence during the Kargil War. RAW’s power is deep regional expertise. It understands South Asia at a granular level that no outside agency can replicate, and within that geography it operates with a quiet dominance that rarely makes international headlines.

There’s this thing money does to you when you are in tune with your spirituality. You start worshipping God from a place of gratitude, not lack. Your prayer points are no longer endless requests, especially for basic things. You have now seen how good life is and how much better it can be, so you are overtly grateful for the privilege of being among the 1%. That is where Asake is right now. If you listen to his recent music, it is mostly “Alhamdulillah,” “blessings,” and “praise be to God” type of lyrics. Even on Flow with Korty, he kept referencing God. Love that for him.

People don’t fully realize how bad things are going to get for everyone. Israel and the U.S. (which denies involvement) struck Iran’s South Pars gas field. In response, Iran targeted Qatar’s North Field. These are two halves of the same reservoir the largest natural gas field on the planet. This single shared field spans about 9,700 km², roughly the size of Qatar itself, and contributes close to 20% of global LNG supply. It took decades and around $70 billion to build the infrastructure. And now, both sides of it have been hit. Even more concerning this field is only about 10% depleted. That means 90% of its gas is still underground. In simple terms, a huge portion of the world’s future energy supply has just become impossible to access. Roughly 35–50% of India’s LNG imports come from here. We are not talking about a short-term disruption. Damage at this scale could take years, possibly a decade, to fully recover from. And the bigger truth is, the global energy landscape may have just been permanently altered for the worse. From an energy perspective, this is dangerously close to a worst-case scenario. Rationing and energy export bans may start appearing in many countries soon. India could follow likely after upcoming state elections pass. Trump knows he messed up. You can believe his denial of involvement in hitting Iran’s South Pars if you want, but realistically, there is almost no chance a strike of this sensitivity happens without full visibility from U.S. Central Command. Operations in that region don’t happen in isolation. At this point, it looks like the U.S. has lost control of its own foreign policy direction. The greatest miscalculation for Trump may not have been the strike itself but allowing the situation to escalate into this war in the first place. He thought Iran, weakened by sanctions, internal pressure, and prior U.S.–Israeli strikes on its nuclear infrastructure, would quickly fold and unconditionally surrender after initial shocks, including high-level assassinations. But that assumption now looks flawed. Instead of collapse, Iran responds with escalation. That is why a bully like Trump is posting “NO MORE ATTACKS WILL BE MADE” But it will be extremely difficult for Iran to return to any meaningful dialogue with US since they have repeatedly shifted from negotiations to military action.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but if infrastructure like this 👇 gets blown up, as of this moment it will take at least a decade to recover from this war - and the truth is that the world's energy picture is probably changed forever. This single facility 👇produced roughly 20% of global LNG supply (aljazeera.com/news/2026/3/18…) and, as of 2011, had taken $70 billion to build (energyintel.com/0000017b-a7be-…). What makes this even worse is that Iran's strike on this was retaliation after Israel attacked their South Pars gas field which draws from the same natural gas reservoir, which is the world's largest by far (9,700 km² - about the size of Qatar itself). Heck, on the list of the 25 largest natural gas fields (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_n…) this single reservoir holds roughly 40% of their combined recoverable reserves - and is nearly 6 times bigger than the 2nd biggest field in the world. And, unlike many of the others on the list, it's only at 10% depletion (meaning 90% of the gas is still there). Which means that, probably for many years, a huge share of the gas from the world's largest reservoir simply won't be extractable, as infrastructure on both sides - Qatar's and Iran's - has now been blown up. From a global energy supply perspective, we're deep into worst-case scenario territory.

If I’m at home and my mummy wants to cook semo for instance , she’ll ask if I’ll eat, I’ll say no. She’ll put water on fire and ask me again ,I’ll say no. When she wants to turn the semo she’ll ask if she should turn my own, I’ll still say no. When semo is ready she’ll still come to ask if she should dish my own I’ll shout no. When she dishes her semo she’ll tell me to come and take one or two morsel and I’ll get angry and say I’m not eating seh. Later I’ll enter the kitchen because I want to eat semo, open cooler and see she has carefully wrapped semo for me, I’ll eat it and she’ll say she knows I’ll later get hungry and eat it. The day wey my aunty ask me if I go chop semo and I talk no, I enter her kitchen, she don wash semo pot and the plate wey she take chop, no semo for cooler too. I ask why she no keep semo for me , she say I talk say I no dey chop now. E pain me gan 😭😭😂😂
