🇦🇱🇸🇮 A productive and engaging meeting with the Ambassador of #Slovenia to Tirana, Jakob Štunf, reaffirming the close and friendly ties between our two countries. We discussed practical avenues to further advance Albania–Slovenia cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. We underlined the importance of enhanced regional cooperation and connectivity as key drivers for stability, security and growth. I expresed our gratitude for Slovenia’s continued support for #Albania’s EU accession path and agreed on the need to maintain momentum in the EU #enlargement process, recognizing it as a strategic investment in a more united, resilient, and prosperous #Europe.

Pleasure to meet Ambassador Michel Tarran, @OSCEambAL, Head of the #OSCE Presence in Albania (#PiA). Over the past three decades, the Presence has worked closely with national institutions and a wide range of partners, contributing to democratic governance, the rule of law, #electoralreform, support to law enforcement and the fight against crime, as well as the promotion of human rights, #mediafreedom, youth engagement, and #civilsociety. As Albania’s democratic institutions continue to mature and consolidate, alongside steady progress on our European Union accession path, this development naturally creates space for an evolving partnership, increasingly oriented toward renewed priorities and future prospects. #Albania remains a steadfast supporter of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in #Europe and the values it embodies: comprehensive security, #dialogue, #democracy, and human dignity. We will continue to play our part with commitment and conviction, fully confident in the OSCE’s unique role in our region and beyond.

🇦🇱🇬🇧 It was a pleasure to meet with the #Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Albania, H.E. Nick Abbott @nickabbottfcdo We discussed our strong and effective cooperation in key areas such as #cybersecurity, law enforcement and migration, where we are pleased to see tangible results. We reaffirmed our shared commitment to further deepening our bilateral partnership across all areas of mutual interest, building on the excellent cooperation already in place. The Albanian community in the United Kingdom represents a vibrant and dynamic bridge between our two countries, contributing meaningfully to the economic and social life of the country, while maintaining close ties with their homeland. This comunity plays an important role in strengthening people-to-people connections and fostering mutual understanding between #Albania and the #UnitedKingdom. We underscored the need to strengthen communication efforts. We also underlined our close cooperation within #NATO, reaffirming our shared commitment to collective security and to addressing evolving threats. In this context, we discussed the importance of continued coordination on developments in the #WesternBalkans, as well as our aligned positions in support of #Ukraine.

🇦🇱🇮🇱 A very productive meeting with the Ambassador of Israel, H.E. Galit Peleg, reaffirming the longstanding friendship and strong bilateral relations between #Albania and #Israel. Our historic ties are rooted in mutual respect and in a legacy of solidarity during times of adversity, most notably Albania’s unwavering commitment to sheltering and protecting Jewish citizens during World War II. This remains a source of enduring pride and continues to shape the close bond between our peoples. We underscored the importance of further strengthening our cooperation across areas of mutual interest, including the economy, education, and tourism, while also deepening collaboration in key sectors such as counterterrorism and cybersecurity. We also exchanged views on current developments in the #MiddleEast, whose repercussions are being felt across security, economic, and humanitarian dimensions. Albania follows the situation with close attention and reaffirms its support for efforts aimed at safeguarding regional stability and addressing serious security threats. Albania remains firm in its principled position: for decades, the #Iranian regime has suppressed its own people, threatened its neighbors, supported and sponsored terrorist activities and has used terorist means, and contributed to regional instability through actions that undermine international peace and security.

🇦🇱🇹🇷 Excellent exchange with the Ambassador of #Türkiye in Tirana, Tayyar Kagan Atay, a bit special though, being the first and the last meeting, as he is ending his important mission in #Albania. We underscored the strength of our strategic partnership and the shared commitment to hold the next meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, to further expand cooperation in priority areas such as economy and trade, but also security, defense, technology and education, for tangible benefits and long-term opportunities for both countries. We also exchanged views on regional security and discussed latest developments in #Ukraine, Iran and the #MiddleEast. Albania stands in full solidarity with Turkiye during this challenging times, emphasizing our support and unity as partners and #NATO allies.

🇦🇱🇧🇬Had a thoughtful and constructive exchange with the Ambassador of #Bulgaria, Ivaylo Kirov, highlighting the strong and friendly relations that unite our two countries, including Bulgaria’s continued support for #Albania’s EU accession process. We explored concrete ways to further deepen Albania–Bulgaria bilateral cooperation, particularly in areas that enhance connectivity, trade, and sustainable economic growth. We also shared the view that #CorridorVIII represents a strategic Pan-European axis. In the current geopolitical context, its importance is even greater, serving not only as a key driver of regional connectivity and development, but also as a critical corridor for security, and overall resilience in Southeast Europe.

🇦🇱🇽🇰 Një takim shumë miqësor me Ambasadorin e Kosovës në Shqipëri, Skënder Durmishi. E sigurova, siç ia kam konfirmuar më parë edhe Ministrit Konjufca, se #Kosova mbetet një përparësi e padiskutueshme e politikës sonë të jashtme. Rikonfirmuam angazhimin e palëkundur për thellimin e partneritetit të ngushtë e të veçantë si dhe zgjerimin e bashkëpunimit dypalësh në të gjitha fushat, përmes koordinimit të ngushtë institucional, rritjes së shkëmbimeve ekonomike dhe avancimit të projekteve të përbashkëta me rëndësi strategjike në fushat e sigurisë, energjisë, infrastrukturës dhe arsimit. #Shqipëria nuk do të reshtë së mbështeturi forcimin e subjektivitetit ndërkombëtar të Kosovës dhe integrimin e saj euroatlantik.

🇦🇱🇬🇷 Today I had a first, friendly and forward-looking phone call with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of #Greece, Mr. George Gerapetritis. We reaffirmed our commitment to advancing Albanian–Greek relations in a constructive spirit, grounded in our strategic partnership, #NATO Allied solidarity, and a shared #European perspective. The exchange offered a valuable opportunity to review the current state of relations and identify practical ways to further strengthen our cooperation. We agreed on the importance of maintaining a consistent and results-oriented political dialogue, based on mutual respect and genuine partnership, to address outstanding bilateral issues in a constructive and pragmatic manner, and advancing projects that foster good neighborly relations, connectivity, people-to-people contatcs, and regional stability. I underlined the importance of Greece’s continued support for #Albania’s European accession path, a position that Minister Gerapetritis has consistently reaffirmed, and for which we are grateful. Finally, I extended my anticipated warmest wishes on the occasion of the 205th anniversary of Greece’s #NationalDay.

🇦🇱🇳🇱 I was pleased to meet with the Ambassador of the #Netherlands in Albania, Mr. Reinout Voss. Recognizing the intensive and constructive political dialogue between Albania and the Netherlands, we agreed on the importance of advancing our joint work toward the timely signing of a Strategic Cooperation Agreement. We also emphasized the need to sustain the current positive momentum and further deepen bilateral cooperation across all areas of mutual interest, including the rule of law, trade, investment, and innovation. I expressed appreciation for the Netherlands’ continued engagement and constructive support for #Albania’s EU accession path, as we work together toward shared goals of stability, prosperity, and common #European future.

🇦🇱🇦🇹 I had a very good meeting with the Ambassador of #Austria in Tirana, Mrs. Monika Zach. We reaffirmed the excellent and longstanding relations between our two countries. We can do more and we should do more. I welcomed Austria’s continued and vocal support for #Albania’s EU accession path. The Austrian-led “Friends of the #WesternBalkans” initiative remains an important platform—mobilizing support within the #EU, keeping enlargement high on the agenda, and encouraging steady progress on the reform path.

Twenty-seven years ago, the world chose not to look away. NATO launched Operation Allied Force to halt the brutal campaign of violence and ethnic cleansing carried out by Slobodan Milošević against #Albanians in #Kosovo. It was a defining moment, when human dignity prevailed over fear, when the responsibility to protect innocent lives outweighed hesitation, and when collective action affirmed that the the free world would not stand by in the face of mass atrocities. At that crucial moment in our history, #Albania opened its heart and its doors without a shred of hesitation. Despite its own economic challenges, Albania welcomed refugees and displaced persons into homes, schools, and communities. Everyone, institutions and citizerns everywhere, mobilized alongside international partners to provide shelter, food, and protection, in an extraordinary act of solidarity, one that reflected not only a humanitarian response, but a deep sense of shared history and common identity. Today, Kosovo is free and independent. It stands as a living testament to resilience, sacrifice, and the unbreakable will of its people. From the scars of war to the strengthening of democratic institutions, Kosovo has made steady progress, consolidating its place as a responsible actor in the region and a contributor to peace and stability in #SoutheastEurope. Today, Albania stands as a proud member of #NATO, the very Alliance that halted death and destruction and restored hope, dignity, and freedom to Kosovo. We honor the victims. We remember the courage of those who stood against oppression. We recognize the vital role of allies and partners who made a difference when it mattered most. Kosovo’s journey continues, with confidence and determination, toward integration into the #Euro-Atlantic family, anchored in shared values of democracy, rule of law, and human rights. #WeRemember #WeHonor #WeStandWithKosovo 🇦🇱🇽🇰

I was pleased to attend the screening of The EUkrainian, organized at #EuropaHouse by the Embassy of Sweden in Tirana @SwedeninAL. A powerful story of resolve, courage, and resilience — but also a deeply human account of sustained efforts to bring #Ukraine closer to the EU, with the goal of membership. It served as yet another reminder of why continued and unwavering support for Ukraine matters, a commitment #Albania fully upholds, but also, at the same time, why EU #enlargement is not merely a policy, but a strategic imperative for peace, security, and a stronger #Europe. 🇦🇱🇪🇺🇺🇦

🇦🇱🇺🇦 Just had a meaningful call with Andrii Sybiha @andrii_sybiha, Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. As #Russia’s full-scale aggression against #Ukraine enters its fifth year, I reiterated Albania’s strong condemnation of the continued violations of international and international humanitarian law, including the repeated attacks against Ukraine’s civilian population and critical infrastructure. #Albania remains unwavering in its support for Ukraine’s freedom, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, as well as for accountability, a just and lasting peace, and Ukraine’s European future. 🇦🇱🇺🇦 We reaffirmed our shared commitment to further deepen Albania–Ukraine relations through close cooperation, advancing our respective #European paths and contributing to peace, stability, and security across #Europe. I look forward to welcoming Minister Sybiha in Albania at the Ukraine–South-East Europe Foreign Ministers’ Meeting we are organizing in June, in #Tirana.

First useful and productive call with my Croatian counterpart, Gordan Grlić-Radman @grlicradman, reaffirming the excellent relations and strong strategic partnership between #Albania 🇦🇱and #Croatia 🇭🇷 We underscored the importance of further deepening bilateral cooperation across key sectors, including the economy, energy, defence, and tourism. Particular emphasis was placed on enhancing connectivity and energy security through major regional projects such as the Adriatic-Ionian Corridor, the Trans Adriatic Pipeline and its Ionian–Adriatic Pipeline extension, as well as the Three Seas Initiative — key drivers of growth and resilience in #SoutheastEurope. We also exchanged views on regional security and cooperation, underlining our shared responsibility as #NATO Allies to contribute to peace, stability, and collective defence. As close partners, we remain firmly committed to advancing security, stability, and a shared #European future for the region. I expressed our gratitude for Croatia’s consistent support for #Albania’s EU accession and invited him to visit Albania soon. 🇦🇱🤝🇭🇷

Në këtë Ditë të Bajramit të Madh, urojmë që paqja, harmonia dhe mirësia të mbushin zemrat e të gjithë shqiptarëve, kudo ku ndodhen, në Shqipëri dhe Diasporë. Bajrami nuk është vetëm një festë, por një ndjenjë tek e cila urimet e përzemërta zëvendësojnë heshtjet dhe falja bëhet forcë. Shqipëria i ka mësuar botës diçka të rrallë: se si njerëzit e feve dhe traditave të ndryshme mund të ulen bashkë, të ndajnë bukën, të gëzohen njëri për tjetrin. Kjo nuk është rastësi – është trashëgimi. Është krenari. Sot, në këtë ditë të shenjtë, le të kujtojmë se çdo buzëqeshje që japim është një dhuratë. Çdo fjalë e mirë – një urë.
