More sales and deals, and helpful features like notifications when wishlisted books are on sale. I love the social justice of libro but audible is more affordable and more convenient. But is this like not using so much electricity? Give up convenience for the greater good?

Is it so bad to buy #audiobooks from #audible? I buy groceries at Walmart, coffee at Starbucks… Not saying these companies are saints, but what if I’ve been trying too hard to be a good progressive #bookworm. I use #LibroFM when I can but audible has a larger library, tbc

People have no idea how special it is to be sensitive. To feel a lot. To treasure sentimental moments other people don’t notice. To want the best for humanity and to believe in a new future. There’s a pureness to sensitivity that goes unnoticed.

Abusive people are rarely just abusive. They can also be kind, fun, and loving. That’s why it’s so hard to leave. It’s like being with two very different people. You love one and fear another. You never know which one you’ll get.

I am always surprised at how nondisabled people manage to say such unfunny things about disability. Disability is often hilarious and disabled folks are some of the funniest people you will ever meet... How do nondisabled people get it so wrong?

I was at a rowing lesson this week and a person saw my wheelchair on the dock and was like "who left this here? We should throw it in the water. These things float right?" This is not funny.

I’m seeing the phrase “limb difference” a lot lately. E.g. “Jane is a woman with an upper limb difference…” I’m wondering if that’s the preferred wording by said people? Or is that just another version of differently abled? Maybe a question for the #neisvoid community?

Narcissism is extreme insecurity. People think people with narcissistic traits have an inflated sense of self. In reality they have no sense of self. Without a sense of self, control and external validation become the main focus. Deep down they’re terrified.

To me, Christian pastors asking, “what you do mean by social justice?” are no different from the man who asked Jesus, “who is my neighbor?” - @andrehenry
