I know a lot of people have been critical of Szoboszlai in terms of being a bit sloppy on the ball at times today and he was but this man is going to be so crucial for us. When it comes to the press and intensity in that midfield, he will be the one to set the tone. Few times today due to his pace he tracked back and won the ball. Does so much off the ball that sometimes goes unnoticed. On top of that, when we do have the ball, he makes those runs as he did for the 3rd goal. Crucial player for us.

What are your halftime thoughts? 3-0 Liverpool! This patient build up at times will suck in opposition to try and press which then will leave our quality players (Salah/Jota/Diaz) isolated 1v1 which is when the longer ball will be massive for us as we have done few times. Sloppy on the ball at times but again, completely normal as its preseason still and many are getting back into it. Will only get sharper so dont overthink this too much. Beautiful football at times in the first 45!

I think its pretty good tbh. I like him a lot and did well in preseason but when you look at our attacking line, he wouldnt have played much. Plus, I still think Gordon could be in play soon 🤷‍♂️

Would be amazing to get Zubimendi but he is at his childhood club. Thats a strong connection so I can definitely understand if he wants to stay or Real Sociedad trying their best to keep him…we would be doing/feeling the same with Trent. We experienced it with Steven Gerrard years ago. Chelsea, Madrid…whoever else wanted him and tried. He didnt leave and it was a hard decision for him to make. I know a lot of people think decisions like this are easy for its a lot more complex. Lets see what happens! YNWA

What has surprised you the most about Arne Slot so far?

2-3 weeks ago a report came out about Sepp van den Berg has impressed in preseason. Many tried to say it was a “pr” stunt. I tell you what. I hope all PR stunts are like this. He has impressed a good amount in the last two games! Whether he stays or not, we will see. But to have him on your squad would be a big positive. He wont start obviously but as an option with his aerial presence would be great. And only if he wants to stay and accept his role of course.

I came across a video few days ago mocking Arne Slot wanting to assess the squad. "You are telling me he hasn’t watched Liverpool last year in the Premier League…like he never watched Liverpool and then when he found out he was getting the job, he just never watched any Liverpool matches to see what the players are like" I get people are upset about transfers and wanting to bring players in...but to say that is just crazy. If you think you can just judge a player based off watching games without being able to talk to them, watch them in training, try to see them in your own system and how well they do...let alone know the type of people they are on and off the field, you are absolutely wrong. Tactics, style, character..everything changes when a new manager comes in. Players are giving a clean slate to see if they can adopt. Its really not that hard to comprehend and there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to assess your squad. Last thing I will say, I went to to the first preseason game. Slot is talking to players during every single possible break. Binders full of positioning and such to give to the players to explain more and more of how he wants to play. Its a learning curve for them all. He has given them all a chance to see if they can be part of his style or not. On top of that, all the videos of our training and how hands on he is. I absolutely love that. People not happy with him assessing the squad and already wanting him out should be ashamed. I really hope he works out and does well with us. Love what Im seeing so early on. Point is, give him a chance and lets see where it goes. Not sure how you call yourself a supporter if you want him out already.
