📢Following comprehensive safety checks and a full site assessment by Glasgow City Council, @NetworkRailSCOT will be able to partially reopen Glasgow Central (platforms 7-15) from Wednesday, 18 March. We'll run as many services as possible, but with a reduced number of platforms available, and limited entry and exit points for customers, this will not allow for the return of trains on all routes. The following services will run from Wednesday, 18 March: 🔵Ayr and Glasgow Central – a half hourly service, calling at all stations between Paisley Gilmour Street – Kilwinning (Johnstone / Milliken Park / Howwood / Lochwinnoch / Glengarnock / Dalry). 🔵Gourock and Glasgow Central – an hourly service, calling at all stations. 🔵Wemyss Bay and Glasgow Central – an hourly service, calling at all stations. 🔵Kilmarnock and Glasgow Central – a half hourly service, calling at all stations (integrated with normal Carlisle/South Ayrshire services). 🔵East Kilbride and Glasgow Central – a half hourly service. 🔵Lanark and Glasgow Central – an hourly service. ScotRail staff will be on hand at Hope Street to guide and support customers to and from platforms. This will include entry and exit for customers via an entrance on Hope Street, known as the carriage driveway, which is used during special events and is normally for vehicular access. The following entrances to the station will remain closed: ⛔Hope Street (adjacent to Waterloo Street). ⛔Gordon Street. ⛔Union Street. @raskulmusic Add nail bars and Barbour shops and almaost every takeaway you can see. All should have tax records checks spot checks by a number of different authorities and @GlasgowCC full disclosure report for each.

1000 vape shops from of a total of ~1300 in Glasgow, don't have up to date licences or registration details. These shops are just thrown up without any due diligence or legal registration being lodged. It seems to be a trend within immigrant families to open these shops and register a young cousin, or such like as the business owners. Many of whom have no history of running a legitimate business. @GlasgowCC have remained silent on the issue.

Glasgow Central station will remain closed on Tuesday, 10 March, following the significant fire in a building next to the station on Union Street, with disruption expected to last several for several days. As a result, no ScotRail services will operate to or from Glasgow Central High Level on Tuesday. Services which normally operate via Glasgow Central Low Level will continue to run but will not call at the low-level station. Customers are advised to travel to and from Argyle Street or Anderston station. Couldn’t disagree more. And I say this as someone who had to retire. It takes the edge off the blade. It dissolves the cheap varnish of politeness. It erases the perceived distance between strangers.
