Mum looked after him with devotion and kindness. Remarkably, she turned something that shrinks people’s lives into something that made theirs bigger - running a Dementia Cafe to support dementia carers and destigmatise the disease.

My father Harbhajan Singh passed away peacefully at home on 12th Nov 2025. A week ago we had his funeral. We celebrated a life of adventure, family and friendships. A life that took him from Basra to Karachi to Delhi to London. A life where he was a refugee, immigrant, proud Sikh

I have been receiving treatment for some time for a form of blood cancer which has been controlled by chemotherapy. Unfortunately this has now transformed into an aggressive and untreatable form of leukaemia and I will be leaving hospital today. Read my statement in full👇

@unzela_ Ambala Drummond St - best jalebi, ladoos and coconut barfi outside of Meerut! So, so many happy memories of journeying from Wembley there, and the anticipation of breaking into the Ambala mithai boxes which were a must buy gift for all dinner parties my parents attended.
