The Liberal government’s spending is out of control, and seniors are paying the price. They’ve borrowed so much, causing the cost-of-living to inflate to record highs, and now in their Spring Economic Update, they’re paying more in interest on the debt than transferring to the provinces for health care. Seniors already can’t afford to eat, heat, and house themselves — after 11 years of Liberals, how can we expect them to afford to pay for extra caregivers?

I’ve known Dona Gallo for over 25 years. I first met her as a genuine, kind-hearted branch manager back in my days working at TD. She quickly became a close friend, and the rest is history. Last night, we celebrated her as the Vaughan Chamber of Commerce recognized her significant contributions to our community, by awarding her Women of the Year. I stopped by the new King Township Food Bank facility to witness their incredible work first-hand. With 2.2 million people using a food bank every month in Canada, I’m forever grateful for Geoff and all the amazing volunteers who make sure no one goes hungry.

Is this the Canada seniors were promised? A seniors’ centre executive director testified that the rising cost of living is leaving more seniors at greater risk of exploitation, including human trafficking. After years of higher prices, Canadian seniors deserve better. Conservatives will always fight tooth and nail to restore affordability and dignity for our seniors.

There shouldn’t be anything complicated about it; dignity in retirement starts with affordability. But under the Carney Liberals, costs keep rising while seniors fall further behind. Conservatives will always stand up for them.

You could really feel the heart in the room. 💜🦋 It was really special to be there to support Butterfly Effect Canada’s Inaugural Spring Gala, supporting organ transplant patients and their families. Hearing the stories and seeing the support in the room was truly a reminder of how much strength and resilience these journeys take, and equally how important it is to stand behind them.

Prime Minister Carney took part of our Conservative plan but that’s not enough. We’re calling on him to adopt our complete Conservative plan to remove all federal taxes on gas until the end of 2026 and save Canadians 25 cents per litre at the pumps. Conservatives want more of your money to stay in your pocket, where it belongs.
