Lmao I have 2. Mother Teresa and Mahatma Gandhi. Mother Teresa let dying patients be treated with blunt reused needles, had a mortality rate about 40% in her clinics and when she was confronted about the conditions, said there’s something beautiful in seeing the poor accept their lot, and to suffer it like Christ’s Passion. Doctors called her facilities “homes for the dying”. And cancer patients were given aspirin for pain. Gandhi too, the face of universal peace, the person that said “be the change you wish to see”, spent years in South Africa describing Black Africans as “savage”, “dirty” and living like animals. He campaigned actively to prove to British rulers that Indians were superior to native Black Africans. He also organized a brigade to help suppress a Zulu uprising. His defenders say he evolved. Maybe. Nobody likes to talk about the entire sides of history. And these are their summarized versions btw.

@AfricaFactsZone, Thank you for bringing this up. First, it's true I took back my ambulance & I have no apologies for that. Why did I do it? It's because they didn't vote for me. So did you expect me to walkaway with nothing? Galatians 6:7 A man reaps what he sows.

Let me get this clear: You put a mandatory tax on Kenyans to fund your building hobby, houses that most of these Kenyans won't own. Then later on, you come to say you want more money because what you have currently can't sustain your side quests? Ama sisi ndo wazimu?

The fastest wind ever recorded on Earth was inside a tornado. A mobile Doppler radar clocked it at 302 mph outside Oklahoma City in May 1999. The lowest air pressure ever measured at sea level was also inside a tornado, near Tulia, Texas in April 2007. The 1999 Oklahoma tornado was rated at the top of the scale. The Wray, Colorado tornado in this video is an EF-2, on a scale that runs from EF-0 to EF-5. Its winds hit 130 mph and it tore a six-mile path along Highway 385, destroying mobile homes and a truck depot. Storm chaser Reed Timmer filmed it from about 100 yards away, and the footage has crossed 51 million views on YouTube. EF-5 has no wind-speed ceiling. Once a tornado is strong enough to lift concrete homes off their foundations and strip the bark off trees, the damage stops telling you anything new. You cannot look at the wreckage and say whether the wind was 250 mph or 350. Air pressure at sea level is normally 1,013 millibars. The Tulia tornado dropped it by 194 millibars in seconds, lower than the eye of any hurricane in history. Hurricanes spread that kind of pressure difference across hundreds of miles. A tornado squeezes the same drop into a few hundred yards or less, and that steep gradient is what drives the violent wind speeds. A tornado actually holds far less total energy than a hurricane. Joe Schaefer, who used to run NOAA's Storm Prediction Center, put a typical tornado at around 10,000 kilowatt-hours, roughly what one American home uses in a year. A hurricane runs about a million times bigger. But a tornado is so much smaller that its energy is packed about six times more densely, which makes it the most concentrated weather event on the planet. That concentration is what kills people. NOAA says flying debris is the biggest threat in a tornado. To certify a shelter as EF-5-rated, manufacturers have to stop a 15-pound 2x4 plank fired at 100 mph from a pneumatic cannon. The 2013 EF-5 that flattened Moore, Oklahoma released between 8 and 600 times the energy of the Hiroshima bomb across its 40-minute life. The Wray video shows the small end of what a tornado can do.

For months, an open manhole on Westlands Road put pedestrians at risk. Construction trucks parked on pavements with little concern for the people who walk there every day. Now, with dignitaries, diplomats and presidents staying around JW Marriott, the trucks have disappeared and the manholes are suddenly covered with strong steel. So the question is simple… was the problem lack of ability or lack of priority? Nairobians deserve this level of care every day, not only when visitors are watching. How do leaders come back to campaign for a “better Nairobi” when basic safety is only fixed for show?

On this day, 18 years ago, on 12 May 2008, I published my first article in the @NationAfrica challenging the injustice of odious debt. I argued then, as I do now, that debts incurred against the interests of the people cannot morally or legally be imposed on generations that never consented to them. Africa must stop begging for relief from debts designed to enrich a few and impoverish millions. We must audit, question, repudiate, and prosecute where necessary. Odious debt is not development. It is economic capture. The struggle continues. #DeniBandia #ReKe #OdiousDebtKe

Embu asanteni, wananchi here are not asking for the impossible. They are asking for hospitals that work, maternity care that reaches them, and a government that understands what is urgent. A government with vision does not allocate billions to luxury projects while public hospitals run empty. It fixes what is broken first. The Kenya we are building belongs to all of us. Let us build it together. #TuunganeTujikomboe #MarthaKarua2027 #PurpleTrain
