Sunday ramble It’s awesome to see brands starting to find product–market fit in Web3 and beginning to look beyond into the real world It won’t be easy, and it’ll take time, but I don’t think legacy brands fully understand how powerful Web3-native brands can be when powered by crypto, tech, and community Each Web3 brand is different, but I think the ones that win long-term will all share the same core traits: •Established deep roots •Rich and authentic culture •Egalitarian values •Strong IP •Clear product–market fit •Real-world reach •Long-term vision and patience •A sustainable business model •Emotional connection with their audience •Creative agility and adaptability I think Chimpers is strong on most of these. But if I’m being honest, our more measured approach, and not having hype events like a second collection or token, has probably made things a bit harder Maybe we don’t come across as degen enough, or crypto-native. And not having more expansion products naturally limits attention, community size, and revenue But that’s part of the strategy. We’ve been focused on growing organically, through products like cards that help us reach across Web3 (ApeChain, Abstract, Base, and more), and through collabs like the upcoming one with Final Bosu, with more to come At the same time, we’re building products for our Web2 audience, some of which will link back to Web3 It’s all step by step Build real products Build real demand Then, if a token makes sense later, and it adds real value, of course we’ll do it But we’re not going to drop one with a half assed blue sky use case and pray This is not a weakness, it’s just a different strategy, that we believe is right for us One thing’s for certain, it’s a big mistake to underestimate Chimpers
