A good exchange w/my #UAE counterpart Sheikh Abdallah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on some key topics. Discussed ways to enhance 🇦🇲–🇦🇪bilateral agenda, economic cooperation, promote investments & connectivity. We emphasized the importance of peace & consistent initiatives to enhance it.

Glad to have accompanied PM @NikolPashinyan in #AbuDhabi. The ceremony of the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity underscored importance of established peace btw Armenia & Azerbaijan. We appreciate the efforts aimed at its continuous strengthening through dialogue, reconciliation.

In a meeting w/@MichaelCJT O’Flaherty, @coe Commissioner for Human Rights emphasized importance of strong engagement for human rights & rule of law. #Armenia’s commitment to #democracy is unwavering. Touched upon efforts towards enhancing #peace, including humanitarian issues.

We are not naive to the realities of modern world. Enemies of freedom don’t sleep. They want to derail our sovereign choice for peace & democracy, to take us back into the darkness of authoritarianism, endless conflict w/neighbours & weak sovereignty. They will not succeed.

While in Brussels, had a very productive meeting w/@MartaKosEU. Focused on upcoming 🇦🇲-🇪🇺 Summit in Yerevan & tangible deliverables we are working on. Democratic resilience, peace & inclusive connectivity, overall Strategic agenda: discussed important components of partnership.

Had another important engagement at @EP_ForeignAff in Brussels. Addressed topics of interest & priority not only for #Armenia but also for our 🇪🇺 partners. Touching upon 🇦🇲’s ambitious democratic reform agenda, stressed that the choice is btw sovereign democracy & a path to subservient autocracy, & we have already chosen our way. Grateful for consistent support by @Europarl_EN towards peace & more democratic resilience.

We proved that our nation can choose its own destiny. This June, 🇦🇲 will hold parliamentary elections, a vital milestone in cementing irreversibility of our #democracy, a moment where ARM ppl will once again demonstrate that their will is the only source of power in our country.

Honoured to address #PACE Assembly this week on the occasion of 25th anniversary of 🇦🇲’s accession to @coe. We emphasized #Armenia's remarkable achievements over the recent years in ensuring rule of law, protection of human rights & freedoms, as well as in building peace. 1/5

#Peace – much like democracy – cannot be taken for granted: it must be constantly nurtured, defended & renewed in the face of both external & internal pressures. It is a solemn pledge to our citizens, to all who suffered through conflict, & to future generations, that we will choose cooperation over confrontation, hope over despair, development over decline. 4/5

Renewing the choice we made 25 years ago, we know that our journey will face tests & that the road ahead remains challenging. 🇦🇲’s dedication to democracy, human rights, & rule of law defines who we are as a nation & is unwavering. We do not walk this path alone. 5/5

Had a useful discussion w/Marta Cartabia in #Strasbourg. Congratulated her on assuming Venice Commission Presidency. Stressed that #Armenia🇦🇲 highly values our active engagement in advancing rule of law, human rights & legal reforms, including addressing emerging challenges.

In a meeting with Theodoros Rousopoulos expressed gratitude for effective cooperation in his previous capacity as #PACE President & wished him success in his future endeavors.
