Lebanon needs pillarisation & canonization, the south to the Druze, Mount Lebanon & Keserwan-Jbeil to the christians, north Lebanon to the Sunnis, and Beqaa + Baalbek-Hermel to the Shias. The population of these cantons will need a population transfer but it will be minimal…

Outdated but interesting demographic information from Iraq. In 2018 Shia Arab Iraqis has a TFR of ⬆️4.0, Kurds 3.0, & Sunni Arab Iraqis 2.9. Sunni Arab Iraqi TFR cratered during & after war to destroy ISIS in Mosul & other predominately Sunni Arab areas. amwaj.media/en/article/dee…

@magic_carpetcap @idontpaytaxes_ Quite the projection from someone who thinks contextualizing why Egypt has a bop crisis is somehow an excuse. Also at best Egypts’ potential would’ve been upper middle income if everything went right which isn’t enough to placate the population when the economy stagnates
English

@armchairexp @idontpaytaxes_ Yes everything is everybody else's fault except for the retarded generals running the country... egyptians are some retarded ass c*nts and u lot deserve the 70 iq moron currently ruling over u

@GermaniaZongdu Mind you this probably one of the main reasons Morocco turned coat and shared intel about Arab military plans on attacking Israel and allied with the west since the Arab left mostly supported Algeria
English

@GermaniaZongdu Morocco tried to militarily take over those disputed territories but failed and in response Algeria started funding the Polisario front and the Moroccan opposition

What's the deal between Morocco and Algeria?

@idontpaytaxes_ Don’t get me wrong they mismanaged the economy by choking the private sector, spending tens of billions of foreign currency on unproductive infrastructure & European military equipment purchases, & exporting gas for short term gains.
English

@idontpaytaxes_ They shouldn’t have relied on hot money as much as they did, but it would be unfair to say that it was hard to predict coronavirus, unprecedented US stimulus spending during supply chain bottlenecks, US fed raising interest rates, and Russia- Ukraine war.

A big part of the difference is simply that plastic windows are incredibly ugly.

The same street, 70 years apart. Hale Road, Walton, Liverpool. It looked immaculate in the 1950s compared to today. Why did people stop caring about their communities?

Also, one reason why Japan wanted a sphere of influence of its own was that it'd industrialized way too late, and industrialized countries didn't want Japanese products, there were even quotas in some cases, its domestic consumer base was small. China was a large market for Japan

3 major East Asian countries (China, Manchuria and Japan) with other members such as Thailand and Philippines. Though Japan was going to annex parts of Indonesia&Malaysia.

Japan's aim in China was to replace Chiang Kai Shek with a friendlier regime (Wang Jingwei). They weren't going to destroy China or annex it. They just wanted their sphere of influence.

In hindsight, America probably should’ve held off on that whole “nuking Japan” thing and just let them have their way in China.
