This is how men demonstrating emotion openly has become perceived as "unmasculine." Men who think performing in a dispassionate and disembodied manner is "masculine" are actually reproducing European colonial masculinity.

European male colonizers rationalized invasion by asserting they "embodied the power of human reason" and "represented the interests and will of humanity." Their authority was situated on being "dispassionate, disembodied," as if they had an objective perspective on reality.

Without Native American presence in the movement, the movement is doomed to destruction and to being destructive, w/o tribal presence, forget it folks, there’s no point in even pretending that you’re going to succeed in doing anything but killing more. There’s no way to stop it.

My husband told me about this. Honoring women for their role and labor, rather than devaluing it because it was “woman’s work” was the norm until white people showed up 🙃🙃🙃
