Due to the advocacy of Hickory Flat Elementary Mental Health and Wellness Facilitator Dr. Shamira Webb, Gov. Brian Kemp recently signed a first-of-its-kind proclamation designating November as Educator Mental Health Awareness Month across Georgia.
Earlier this week, Dr. Webb led a wellness session for teachers and staff at HFE, where she was celebrated by district leaders, Principal Dr. Dawn Blackwell, and her colleagues. Thank you, Dr. Webb, for reminding us that caring for ourselves is part of caring for our students!
