The attacker borrowed ~4.6M $BONE temporarily to gain majority voting power, signed malicious states, and drained assets. The team offered bounties (up to 50 ETH initially, later reduced) for return, but the hacker rejected. Recovery efforts evolved into the "Shib Owes You" (SOU) framework: Ethereum-based SOU NFTs as on-chain proof of owed amounts to victims, plus community-driven layers (e.g., donations, fees) to fund repayments. $SOU token — This is the community-launched meme/utility token on BSC (Binance Smart Chain) by @woofswap.
