All schools in BVSD are on a two-hour delayed start tomorrow, 01/21/2025, due to weather. Please know that school buses will pick up students two hours later than usual and schools will begin classes two hours later than usual. School will end at the normal time.

Update: After further investigation, deputies learned from Xcel Energy that a squirrel likely tripped a fuse near 75th and Baseline, which may have caused the reported sound. Douglas Elementary has returned to normal operations.

Sheriff’s deputies are on scene at Douglas Elementary near 75th and Baseline just outside of Boulder investigating possible shots in the area. The school is on secure status and students are safe. Deputies still trying to locate source of possible shots in the area. The school campus is secure.

BVSD is canceling after-school activities and events today, Friday, November 8th due to the winter storm. All schools and preschool will continue until the normal dismissal time. After School Care (SAC) will close at 4 p.m. Buses will operate on their normal drop-off schedule.
