HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Dr. Janeen Peretin (@JaneenPeretin🎂) who was recently named as the national recipient of The School Superintendents Association’s (@AASAHQ👥) 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣6️⃣ Women in School Leadership Awards! Throughout her career, Dr. Peretin has distinguished herself as a trailblazer in educational innovation. As the former Director of Communication, Innovation, and Advancement for the Baldwin-Whitehall School District she led transformative initiatives that redefined teaching and learning across the District. Among her many accomplishments: launching a 1️⃣:1️⃣ technology program to ensure digital equity; implementing the @Canvas_by_Inst💻 learning management system during the COVID pandemic to maintain instructional continuity; and leading the development of a mobile fabrication lab to enhance hands-on learning opportunities. Passionate about bringing technology to enrich student learning experiences, Dr. Peretin founded the District’s competitive esports program and launched the groundbreaking “Fly Like a Girl” academy, an aviation program designed to empower female students in STEM. Her visionary leadership helped Baldwin-Whitehall become a @Google🔵🔴🟡🟢 Reference District, gain designation as a @CommonSense🧠 Media District, and earn invitations to both the League of Innovative Schools (@DPLeague💡) and AASA’s Learning 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣5️⃣ Network. Ms. Patricia Fusco, Principal of McAnnulty Elementary School, expressed, “Dr. Janeen Peretin is an inspiring and innovative educational leader with over two decades of experience advancing student outcomes through strategic integration of technology, equity-driven initiatives, and future-focused learning. As the Assistant to the Superintendent in the Baldwin-Whitehall School District, Dr. Peretin brings a passionate, learner-centered approach to her work, placing students’ social, emotional, academic opportunities at the heart of all she does. Dr. Peretin leads with the conviction that education has the power to unlock potential and create a lasting impact for every learner when given the opportunity.
