Today is day 3 of UNOC’s 5th Compliance Week, and the topic for the day is Anti-Bribery and Corruption. Did you know that bribery isn’t always as obvious as you would think?

At UNOC, compliance is at the centre of how we operate and make decisions. As we mark our 5th Annual Compliance Week, we want to reaffirm our commitment to accountability and ethical conduct across all levels of the organization. In a sector as critical as oil and gas, strong compliance practices are essential to building trust, managing risk, and of course safeguarding national interests.

UNOC is delighted to have taken part in the 2026 Kabaka Run, joining thousands in support of the fight against HIV/AIDS. The UNOC team showed up with incredible energy and took the opportunity to engage with each other and the community while contributing to a cause that matters. UNOC remains committed to stepping forward and supporting efforts that drive awareness, prevention, and progress in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

UNOC today held a meeting with a delegation from the National Forum of People Living with HIV/AIDS Networks in Uganda (NAFOPHANU), led by Dr Flavia Kyomukama and Dr @KigoziMaggie, to explore collaboration on community health interventions for people living with HIV. In relation @Comrade_Otoa, the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, noted that community wellbeing is central to UNOC’s work and that the company remains committed to supporting the people it serves.

Easter is a reminder that light returns, even after the longest stretch of uncertainty. May we all find a sense of renewal that stays with us long after the day passes. Happy Easter.

UNOC extends its sincere condolences on the passing of LCV Chairperson of Kikuube District, Peter Banura Araali. He was a valued partner and strong supporter of Uganda’s oil and gas sector. We stand with his family and the people of Kikuube during this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace.

Yesterday I had the honor of officiating the 21st Jinja Fun Rugby on behalf of the @UNOC_UG management at Kakindu Stadium in Jinja. Kudos to the teams that played with some traveling in from as far as Kenya. Great work Dr. Gilbert Bayenda and team. See you next year.

We are closely watching and Monitoring companies that want to take advantage of this situation and exploit Ugandans!

UNOC has concluded its Supplier Development Workshop focused on QHSE compliance and preparing suppliers for opportunities in Uganda’s oil and gas sector. The room was filled beyond capacity, with many success stories shared. From the questions raised and the depth of discussion, it is clear that Ugandans are putting in the work and are determined to meet the required standards. In closing, the COO, @SamanthaBarung1 thanked attendees and encouraged them to apply the insights shared, while appreciating the UNOC team for their commitment to the industry.
