If you actually make it big what happens is simple: 1) $25M is completely game over, no chance your life improves when you can spend $1M forever 2) you look back and realize $4-5M + paid off home was the biggest QOL cliff 3) $10M is more than enough unless redacted

@justin_tz_ @BowTiedBull It’s more of an overall effect than one specific thing… the people you meet in business class seating, the investment opportunities that appear, the schools, real estate, vacation locations, clubs… there is another level of all of these things that you didn’t know about before.

Guys, I'm developing an AI chat app that can do some of the "low hanging fruit" change work. It currently works for anxiety and trauma clearing. I want to test it. I have to charge a nominal fee for beta test access (like $5 or so) but are you interested in testing it out?

I hate to break it to the medical industry, but anything else GLPs fix - diabetes, cancer, sleep apnea, whatever - is gonna die out and you won’t be able to make money off of fixes. Humans care WAY more about being attractive than anything else you can sell them.

Well, you have renters insurance too. And you already pay for all the repairs in a rental property through the rent, which will only go up over time. If you know you need to move, probably better to rent for that reason alone. But if you can stay put, renting is usually better.

@BasedHypnotist Your mortgage goes up every year with taxes and insurance. And you have to fix everything that breaks, replace the roof every 25 years or so (which could be next year), etc. and the value of your house can drop in a recession, leaving you owing more than it's worth.

A $1,500 gap is a lot. Most rent/own gaps aren’t that far apart. The big benefit is your mortgage payment never goes up over the next 30 years. But rent will increase every year.

That isn't even remotely accurate. Gen X pays the most taxes currently, and even half retired Boomers still pay a lot more than milennials. Gen Z pays almost nothing. Gen Z: ~5–8% of total income taxes. Very low earners, high use of credits (EITC, etc.), many non-payers or minimal liability. Rising but still below peak due to career stage, student debt, etc. As they age into higher brackets, their share grows. taxfoundation.org Gen X : ~35–40% (largest share). Peak earnings, dual-income households, home equity, etc. This is the current "prime payer" generation. kiplinger.com Baby Boomers: ~25–30%. Mostly 55–65 and 65+. Still significant from working Boomers, but retirees have lower taxable income (Social Security taxation limited, pensions, etc.).
