“Johnny Depp Has a New Series of Portraits… and They Are Quite Bad”, titles a recent article on @artnet. What strikes me, is that there is no reference to the actor’s paiting method from a critical standpoint, making the headline just an overpromising promising disappointment.

Thanks to #NanGoldin and the activist group she leads, the #Sackler name has fallen away from many of the arts institutions that named spaces after the family in exchange for its largesse. Now, we hopefully expect to see many others gradually standing up to their own ethics.
