We’ve seen some questions following the CBCS update and want to be clear: manga submissions are not going anywhere.
As we continue to invest in our grading and authentication operations and the overall collector experience, manga remains fully supported.

Earlier this week, a longtime collector quietly submitted what may be one of the most significant cards the hobby has ever seen. After years off the market, this piece resurfaced and was brought in for grading under strict confidentiality.
Following a full evaluation, it received the highest possible designation.. a BGS Black Label. Pieces at this level almost never surface, and when they do, they tend to reshape the conversation around what’s possible in the hobby.

As part of our strategy to focus on the Beckett brand, we've made the challenging decision to shut down CBCS. Effective April 17, new submissions will no longer be accepted. All existing orders, and any submissions received by that date, will continue through the grading process as normal. We appreciate the collectors, creators, and grading team who helped build CBCS into a respected part of the comic collecting community.

Examples of this specific issue are rarely documented, with virtually no confirmed images of the magazine circulating online, making this graded copy a rare look at the publication where Cowboy Bebop first appeared in print.
This BGS 7.0 issue of Asuka Fantasy DX (1997) features the debut serialization of Cowboy Bebop: Shooting Star, marking the first printed appearance of the franchise months before the anime premiered in 1998. Published by Kadokawa and illustrated by Cain Kuga, the manga introduced readers to Spike Spiegel and the Bebop crew ahead of what would become one of the most influential anime of the 1990s.

This 2000 Topps Pokémon Chrome #94 Gengar Sparkle-Chrome recently graded a BGS Pristine 10, becoming the only BGS 10 in the world more than 25 years after release.
Topps introduced Pokémon Chrome in 2000 with Series 1 and Series 2, featuring four different refractor-style variants. The Sparkle-Chrome pattern, known for its dense, glitter-like foil background, is among the most visually striking finishes from the set.

These Monkey D. Luffy NCAA promo cards were distributed at select college basketball games as part of the College Basketball U.S. Voyage.
The collaboration brought together One Piece and NCAA programs through themed in-game experiences, exclusive merchandise, and this event-only collectible featuring Luffy set against manga panel artwork.
One collector submitted 11 copies — all earning Gem Mint or better, including multiple Black Labels.
