Two weeks ago, when Cashback was released, I was unhappy with the model and hired three software engineers to build out @BedrockFees, a fee distribution product that rewards holders. Even though one of the devs we hired had credibility and had been hired by companies like Gemini, he went behind my back, sniped the launch, and immediately extracted. After two of the devs dropped the project within less than 24 hours, we had to scramble to find new developers to keep the tech running. After the coin reached a $1M market cap and we had parted ways with him, the malicious dev continued to grift and sabotage our project by launching a new token on the Bedrock Fee Distribution wallet and purposely shutting down our servers. Shutting down our servers, which caused the site to go offline, eroded trust within the community and caused our token price to drop rapidly. He has since been kicked out of his university blockchain club, and we have changed the Fee Distribution wallet so that he no longer has access to it. He is no longer a security risk to the project, and we will continue to build Bedrock transparently and in public.
