For us, it’s doing it for him, using it as motivation, and obviously playing with a full heart. Being grateful for what we have and our opportunity, our next opportunity, being here to play our game, and overall, just another day of life.”

We all want everything quickly, but God knows when the best time is. One of the best things I’ve learned is to trust God’s timing. If it hasn’t happened yet, then it hasn’t been the right time. But when God is ready, all the forces of darkness cannot hold Him back.

Good morning Mustang Country! It's another Mighty Mustangs Football Gameday! As we begin our ride towards the goal of a district title, we're honored to continue the tradition of announcing our Teacher of the Week! This week, it is an honor to recognize as our Teacher of the Week: Mr. Luis Avila! Mr. Avila has been at Memorial High School for 20 years. Over the past two decades, he has inspired countless students through his passion for engineering and his commitment to helping young people think critically, problem-solve, and innovate. As the sponsor of our Robotics team, Mr. Avila has led students to incredible achievements, including a state championship title. Beyond the awards, his greatest impact is seen in the way students light up in his classroom, where learning is hands-on, engaging, and fun. His ability to connect with students while challenging them to reach higher has made him a favorite among Mustangs. We are truly grateful for Mr. Avila’s leadership, mentorship, and dedication. His work continues to shape future engineers, innovators, and leaders, and we celebrate his lasting legacy here at Memorial. Congratulations Mr. Avila on being named our Mustang Football Teacher of the Week! We invite you all to come cheer on our Mighty Mustang Football Team as we take on the Hanna Eagles in tonight's game. The game will feature our JRTOC, performances by our talented Prancers, our award winning Cheerleaders, and the Band that Rocks the Rio Grande - our Mighty Mustang Band.
