An excellent book on Policy Making. Vehemently argues that market mechanism should be allowed to function in almost all areas of economy and State's role should be limited only to address cases of market failure. Should be a compulsory read for all present / future policy makers.

Taken together, these two books must be read not only by politicians and bureaucrats for policy making, but by everyone who has a stake in India's growth story, be it individuals, civil society organizations, media, research thinktanks or Corporates.

Ridiculously brilliant, intelligent, confident and witty book. Turns some of most accepted theories of finance, economics and statistics on their head. Makes charming fun even of "Noble prizes of social - sciences" Masterpiece and a must-read.

An awe-inspiring & magnificent book. Analyzes the underlying factors influencing human behavior, encompassing sensory stimuli, neural activity, hormones, brain structures, genetics, childhood, & culture. Raises questions regarding the existence of true "Free Will". Must read.

Easily one of the best books to understand the functioning of RBI and various intricacies of the monetary - fiscal system of India. Must read.

A genuinely good book. Stresses the importance of looking for the absolute essential things to be done in professional and personal life and to weed out all the non-essentials. As the book says: You can do better only by doing less.

A hard hitting book. Exposes the workings of the whole Generic Drugs Industry, right from manufacturing of drugs, data manipulations to show efficacy, to the involvment of regulators. Also stresses the importance of well-intentioned whistle-blowers to society. Must read.

Apart from including a summary of a few good concepts of other scholars, the book doesn't offer anything original research based idea. More like a general gyan. Found it to be an strictly average and much overhyped book.

Aspirants 2 is a very good watch. The situations and dynamics presented aptly represent the diverse responsibilities, expectations, pulls and pressures faced by civil servants both professionally as well as personally.
