"You have such a high likelihood of them swinging at that." 👀 Brayden McCormick has had significant velo strides as a converted pitcher, leading to his @OU_Baseball commitment. One focus @BHM_11 and @Lanti___ has been building reps through simulated AB bullpens, polishing him as a full-time pitcher. 📈

"When I don't try to manipulate it, it works." 💡 Brayden McCormick stopped by Tread HQ over winter break before his sophomore season at Navarro College. After jumping from a 90 mph, recently converted position player to a mid-90s pitching prospect, @BHM_11 committed to @OU_Baseball for his junior year. 📈 Coach: @Lanti___

Breaking down a 95 mph @OU_Baseball commit's mechanics 🦾 A coach's post from @Lanti___ Tread Athlete and Oklahoma commit @BHM_11 demonstrates a highly efficient delivery that allows him to consistently sit 93–95 mph and reach 96 mph in game. A major strength in his mechanics is how effectively he generates linear momentum toward the target and converts it into rotational power at the right time. From the first move, Brayden creates strong forward intent with a noticeable lead toward the plate, slight forward shoulder angle, and the pelvis getting underneath him at peak leg lift. As he drops into the backside, he shows a stable, stacked load, with the pelvis level and balanced over the rear leg. One of his most defining qualities is patience. As he moves down the mound, he “floats” rather than rushing, maintaining posture and alignment. His shoulders stay stacked and organized, which sets up a clean rotational transition later in the delivery. He delays intent until just before front foot strike, effectively “pressing the gas pedal late.” At landing, Brayden shows an immediate and firm front-side block, created by actively pulling the ground back with the lead leg. This results in minimal forward leakage and allows him to capture and transfer the energy generated earlier in the delivery. While there is a slight tendency for the front leg to bow out and for rotation to drift gloveside something currently being addressed, overall energy loss remains minimal. Because he lands in a strong stacked position, Brayden is able to catch the torso deep, giving him a larger window to apply force to the baseball. This sequencing linear momentum first, followed by well-timed rotation allows him to efficiently put force into the ball without excessive effort. Overall, his block, deceleration, and follow-through are clean and controlled, showcasing advanced movement quality and body awareness. For a sophomore college pitcher, this is a highly polished delivery with only minor refinements needed.

From 92 mph with 59% efficiency to 93 mph with 79% efficiency. 📈 @Lanti___ demonstrates how internal cues, such as an imaginary wall and ripping through the catcher's facemask, can help clean up direction and spin efficiency with Navarro College sophomore @BHM_11 💪

Staying through the fastball. 🎯 @Lanti___ demonstrates how the constraint of simply standing next to the mound can help clean up direction and prevent spinning out gloveside with Navarro College sophomore @BHM_11 📈
