We're deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Michael Pennington, a remarkable talent who graced our stage twice and left a lasting impression on The Rep's history. In 1975, he performed here as Bluntschi in Shaw's Arms and the Man - a production that went on to tour to Frankfurt, and later Michael returned to us in 2003 to play the lead in Rachel Kavanaugh's production of The Madness of King George, delivering a performance that reminded us why he was such a treasured figure in British theatre. We're honoured to have been part of his illustrious career. Our thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Michael.
