A man who can enjoy doing nothing on his birthday doesn’t need validation from the event. Men don’t want a celebration, they want a day where nobody needs anything from them. That IS the celebration.
桜♡@Spamfromk
why are men always ok with doing nothing for their birthday?

This was not a film. This was the reality.
Three men left Nigeria with no money, no passports, and no hope except one: survival.
Their destination was the Canary Islands. But they didn't travel as passengers. There were no cabins. There were no beds.
A huge oil tanker named Alithini II , sailing under the flag of Malta, he was hiding near the rudder of that oil tanker, right above the sea, his body was just inches away from the water and death was standing in front of him.
The ship had left from Lagos
, Nigeria and was to reach the port of Las Palmas in the Canary Islands of Spain .
Eleven days.
Eleven nights.
Amid the roar of the engine and the cold Atlantic winds, they held on to an iron rod. They ate whatever little they had. They drank salty seawater filtered through their clothes.
They could sleep only for a few minutes, because one wrong move meant falling into the endless ocean.
When the ship arrived in Las Palmas, they were found barely conscious:
There was severe dehydration in the body, they were burnt by the heat of the sun and salt.
But he was alive.
Eleven days hanging between the sky and the sea.
Eleven days challenging the impossible.
They were called "stowaways".
At the time of his arrival, he was severely dehydrated and in shock.
But the truth is, they were much more than that they were survivors.
It became a major example for Spanish authorities and human rights activists of the lengths people would go to, risking their lives to escape poverty and conflict.
Because when hunger takes hold and the future looks bleak, some people decide to risk everything in the hope of a better life. They had nothing.
But he had faith.
And sometimes... that's all it takes to keep breathing.
Share this story with someone who feels like they can't go on anymore.
Because there are people in this world who hold on to life with such strength that even the sea could not take it away from them.

About 15-20 yrs ago FESTAC was more prestigious than The entire Lekki area. It had Lovely Mansions, Top Hotels, Restaurants & Businesses; Plus an Overall Better planned Layout. Today The roads are Littered with Potholes and the Place feels like a Slum.
Why? @jidesanwoolu 🤔🤷🏽♂️😡

Let me be loud and clear:
Any immunity the President grants to his family and others is NOT WORTH MORE THAN THE PAPER IT'S WRITTEN ON.
First, it only covers federal crimes. The moment he leaves office, a flood of state cases like the Georgia case brought by "Fani the Fraud" will pour in on everyone.
On top of that, Democratic judges will find any reason, including claims of fraud, to challenge that immunity faster than he signed it. The same goes for all pardons issued by the President. And when that happens, there is only one outcome. A jail cell for all of us.
This is exactly why the appointment of the next AG at the DOJ is one of the most important decisions of his presidency so far.
P.S. I am up for the job and would deliver more justice for the President in a week than any court could deliver in a lifetime. We have still not seen any justice for the terrible crimes committed against him and his family.

I have never posted a picture of mine associating with my maternal roots, which is Igbo - and have Igbo people sling expletives at me.
Instead, they remind me - that I have as much claim to the soil.
Trust my fellow kinsmen to steadily remind me that I'm a tainted blood. 😂

@dimmakilishi Why did you already plan a wedding with someone you did not trust enough to even take a glass of water from?
English

Lol, Dude was doing so well.
We met through his cousin and decided to work things out.
One day, guy man took me to his newly built duplex in Asaba.
He just completed the house and thought to take me there.
Immediately we got his house, he hurriedly entered kitchen and offered me a glass of water.
I told him that I wasn’t thirsty, he replied that I shouldn’t reject anything he offers me but I insisted that I wasn’t thirsty.
The senior sister screamed from her end that it’s a taboo to reject water in their place but I still insisted I wasn’t thirsty.
He angrily returned the water and his attitude towards me changed.
After we left his house, he stopped calling and whenever I call, he doesn't pick.
That was how they cancelled the marriage because I simply didn’t take the water they offered me.
Lemme make open confession.
The reason I turned down the water was because he offered me water in an open glass cup.
So many things ran through my mind like what if he added something inside the water.
If he had given me bottle water, maybe I wouldn’t have turned it down.
Should I blame it on nollywood 🌚
Was I wrong by turning down the water? Or maybe it was God's way of cancelling the wedding 😏
