Adjusting to life after bereavement is a long and trying process. The encouragement, prayers and company of friends and family help to lighten the grief. This afternoon, I visited the family of my friend, Tiaty MP William Kamket, and Data Commissioner Immaculate Kasait, following the recent loss of their son, Bill Ballot Kassait Jnr. The family is strong, and we continue to wish them the strength to bear the gap left by the untimely passing of Kassait Jnr. We also took time to discuss matters of development in the region following the efforts we have made to restore peace and security. We were in the company of Bomet Senator Hillary Sigei, Mogotio MP Reuben Kiborek and his Bureti counterpart Kibet Komingoi.

Do you remember CUCU CONTRACTOR?.. Ol Kalou town is clean today because of this lady, she was nicknamed Cucu Contractor for her tremendous work in the county and its such a shame because she died because of unpaid bills from the County Government by the then Governor Kimemia.
Hannah Ndugire was in 2021 rescued by neighbours while trying to commit suicide. She later on died while battling depression since the County Government of Nyandarua led by the Gov Kimemia refused to pay her Ksh139M for cabro & paving work done in Ol Kalou town.

In pictures how Cucu Contractor’s life turned. One day she was inspecting her projects with Governor Kimemia, next month she's tying herself on an electricity pole because the county officials have refused to release her money while demanding ksh25M kickbacks.
A few months later she's rescued by neighbours while trying to commit suicide, her situation escalates and she's taken to JM Kariuki Memorial hospital where I personally visited her. Fast forward a few weeks later she's dead, we do candle lighting and bury a very hardworking grandma who was determined to do excellent work for her home town.
Pending bills robbed us a heroine. RIP CUCU.

She was a very hardworking woman, once featured in Daily Nation newspaper. I visited her while admitted at JM Memorial Hospital in 2023 and her story was just too sad to listen to.
Pending bills robbed us a heroine. Shame to those who continue to frustrate contractors!!
