📊 Advancing Risk Innovation Through Knowledge Sharing #ICYMI ... CDB was pleased to contribute technically to the 6th Annual BRIM Conference which was held on March 26–27, 2026 in Barbados. Through our presentation and active participation, we reinforced the Bank’s role as a regional thought leader in Risk Management and Development Finance. 🌟A highlight of the Bank’s engagement was a presentation on “How Multilateral Development Bank Balance Sheets Are Being Optimised to Support Resilient Development.” The session focused on the purpose and importance of balance sheet optimisation as a strategic risk management tool, enabling greater lending capacity, improved capital efficiency, and sustained support for Borrowing Member Countries amid fiscal, economic and climate uncertainty. The presentation shared CDB’s applied and planned use of key instruments, including Exposure Exchange Agreements, Portfolio Credit Guarantees, Contingent Capital Facilities, and Private Sector Credit Insurance, demonstrating how risks can be shared and redistributed without compromising credit strength or requiring new paid-in capital. 💡Through forums like BRIM, CDB continues to advance its knowledge-sharing thrust, helping to deepen regional understanding of modern risk management approaches that support resilient and sustainable development. 📌Explore CDB’s work in knowledge-sharing and innovation in Risk Management. 👉ow.ly/NIZZ50YBZ1s #OurCDB #RiskManagement #RiskInnovation #DevelopmentFinance #CaribbeanDevelopment #CaribbeanLeadership

🌟 Investing in Youth, Shaping the Region’s Future The Caribbean Development Bank is proud to have facilitated meaningful youth participation at the 6th Annual Barbados Risk & Insurance Management (BRIM) Conference, held March 26–27, 2026, through its sponsorship of the event. By supporting youth attendance, CDB ensured that young voices were actively included in regional conversations on risk, insurance, and global business, areas critical to the Caribbean’s sustainable development. Six young participants, representing the Bank’s Future Leaders Network, the Global Partnership for Education, the Barbados National Student Council, and secondary and tertiary institutions, were given the opportunity to engage directly with industry professionals, policymakers, and technical experts. Their participation enabled them to gain practical insights into risk and insurance management while sharing fresh perspectives on the challenges and opportunities facing the region. This initiative strongly reflects CDB’s Youth Development thrust, with youth now a major operational focus for the Bank under its new 10-Year Strategic Plan. By deliberately creating pathways for learning, exposure, and leadership development, CDB is investing in the next generation of Caribbean professionals, building capacity, fostering innovation, and supporting inclusive development across the Region. 📌To learn more about our plans for Youth Development see our Strategic Plan 2026-2035. 👉ow.ly/sZpx50YBXXL #OurCDB #YouthDevelopment #FutureLeaders #BRIM2026 #RiskManagement
