Young riders zoom past me. I’m just here making sure I stop smoothly and don’t become a kamote casualty.

Driving the Vespa as I dreamed about it. Stayed in first gear like it’s a comfort zone. Same energy as playing on easy mode.

Game: “Press X to accelerate.” Real life: “Gently twist and don’t panic.” Guess which one I’m worse at.

PS5 reflexes: improving. Vespa reflexes: buffering. Both still a work in progress.

In games, I handle high-speed chases. On a scooter, I’m negotiating with balance and gravity at 20 km/h.

Murphy and Maple on a hot day, can’t be bothered.
