In this connection, the consultant has been engaged and pre-qualification of firms is currently underway. The affected stretch of Gangal near Koral Chowk is also included in the said project. Thank you for sharing your concern. In this regard, it is clarified that no large-scale plantation of palm or araucaria trees has been carried out along Islamabad Expressway/Highway during the last two weeks. In fact, no plantation activity has taken place on this stretch for the past one and a half months, as CDA is currently working on a comprehensive landscape design and thematic plan. However, 5–6 palm trees were planted at the Koral loops as part of an already approved design. The CDA Environment Wing has recently completed topographic and drone surveys, along with detailed on-ground site visits. The design team is now preparing formal landscape plans with a clear theme, focusing on indigenous and environmentally friendly plantations. It has also been decided that even CSR-driven plantation activities will not be allowed without a technically reviewed and approved landscape plan. All future plantation work will be properly planned and aligned with the overall design concept. We remain committed to making Islamabad a more beautiful, sustainable, and environmentally friendly city.

*Prompt Action by CDA's Capital Emergency Services – Fire Incident Controlled at H-8/1 Within 5 Minutes Response* A green area fire was reported near Priston University in Sector H-8/1 at 19:10 hours. The Capital Emergency Service of CDA responded in just 5 minutes, dispatching Fire Station FS-06 (I-9) to the location. A team of five fire and rescue personnel reached the site promptly and took immediate control of the situation. Due to swift and coordinated effort, the fire was fully extinguished without any loss of life or property. No injuries, casualties, or missing persons were reported. The citizens are requested to remain vigilant and avoid burning waste in or near green areas, and report any signs of fire immediately to the Capital Emergency Service. Prevention and early reporting save lives and protect our capital’s green cover. Surprise Field inspection led by Member Environment across multiple sectors of Islamabad to oversee the onground cleanliness. Member Environment Abdullah Khurram Niazi, along with the relevant officers, conducted a field visit across Sectors F-8, F-7, F-6, G-7, and G-6 to review the on-ground cleanliness arrangements. The attendance of sanitation workers was checked during the visit, with approximately 93% of the workforce present and reported at their designated attendance points between 5:00 AM and 5:15 AM. The Director of Sanitation, the concerned Deputy Director, and both Assistant Directors were also present in the field to supervise and monitor cleanliness operations alongside the team. The Environment Wing of CDA will continue to ensure optimum utilization of available resources for further improvement in cleanliness standards and improved service delivery. #CDACare
