The importance of doing this safely and securely, was also discussed, ensuring that speed is matched with biosecurity, collaboration, and responsible innovation, especially as advances in biotech and AI both lowers barriers and expands capacity to design dangerous pathogens.

Yesterday at @NATO HQ, CEPI was honoured to co-host a high-level convening alongside the NATO International Staff and the Norway Delegation to NATO for members of the Resilience and Defense Policy and Planning Committees on the importance of the #100DaysMission.

Today we announced that the first participants in the U.S. and UK have been dosed in a Phase 3 study of our investigational mRNA-based H5 pandemic influenza vaccine candidate, mRNA-1018. In December 2025, @CEPIvaccines and Moderna announced that CEPI will invest up to $54.3 million to help advance mRNA-1018 to licensure. Read more: feeds.issuerdirect.com/news-release.h…

The two organisations will work together to enhance regional capacity in vaccine research and development, clinical trials, biosafety and biosecurity, laboratory science, and manufacturing in support of equitable vaccine access.
