Mission Early College High School and El Paso Community College are celebrating 20 years of changing lives and redefining student success! As the first early college high school in the El Paso region, Mission has helped thousands of students earn a high school diploma while completing college credit or an associate degree through El Paso Community College. Since 2006, the program has grown into a districtwide model of excellence, helping #TeamSISD reach the milestone of 3,000 EPCC associate degrees earned. Here's to 20 years of opportunity, achievement and impact!

The Board of Trustees honored Diana Aguirre, head counselor at Socorro High School, for being named the 2026 Lone Star State School Counselor Association (LSSSCA) School Counselor of the Year (SCOY). She will represent Texas in the American School Counselor Association’s National School Counselor of the Year award program. Congratulations!

Congratulations to June Ruiz, an incoming senior from Eastlake High School, for leading the Pledge of Allegiance at today's board meeting. She is a gifted artist, mariachi violinist, robotics competitor and Falcon Early College scholar who shines as a leader in Eastlake’s audio and video production program.
