The Council of Ministers has accorded approval for the establishment of an 800 TPD Integrated Solid Waste Management (ISWM) Project at Achan, Srinagar, at an estimated cost of ₹361 crore.

The Council of Ministers, under the Chairmanship of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, has approved the upgradation/completion of Sub-District Hospital, Hazratbal by granting relaxation in the buffer zone restrictions under the Srinagar Master Plan, 2035. The decision has been taken to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and ensure better delivery of healthcare services in the interest of improved patient care.

Chief Minister has expressed gratitude to External Affairs Minister @DrSJaishankar for facilitating the repatriation of the mortal remains of six residents of Jammu & Kashmir who lost their lives in a tragic road accident in Kuwait. The Chief Minister also appreciated the efforts of the Indian Embassy in Kuwait in extending timely assistance and support to the bereaved families during this difficult time.

Chief Minister congratulated the Rural Development Department and J&K Rural Livelihoods Mission (UMEED) for their remarkable work in transforming rural livelihoods across Jammu & Kashmir. Over 8.10 lakh women have been mobilised into more than 96,000 SHGs, with over ₹3,106 crore in bank credit facilitated and more than 2.30 lakh women achieving annual incomes above ₹1 lakh under the Lakhpati Didi initiative. Chief Minister interacted with the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) probationer officers, who are currently undergoing district training. The Chief Minister wished the young officers success in their future endeavours and urged them to work with dedication and commitment towards public service and nation building.

During his visit to Ganderbal, the Chief Minister conducted an on-site review of the long-pending Guzhama Bridge project and directed officials to ensure its timely completion while maintaining the highest quality standards. Interacting with locals, the Chief Minister assured that the Government is committed to completing the decade-long stalled project within the stipulated timeframe to ease public hardships and improve connectivity in the area. Chief Minister inaugurated advanced medical facilities at JLNM Hospital, Rainawari, including ERCP Endoscopy Machine, Ultra/Doppler Sound Machine, Tissue Processor Histopathology Machine and Laser Urology equipment, established with CSR support from HDFC Bank at a cost of Rs 2.25 crore. Chief Minister today laid the foundation stone for construction of a Youth Hostel at Government College of Physical Education, Gadoora, Ganderbal at a cost of ₹15.27 crore. The project will provide improved accommodation and sports infrastructure facilities for students and youth, besides enabling the hosting of major sporting events in Ganderbal. @Surinderch55 , @satishsharmajnk and @nasirsogami were also present on the occasion.

Chief Minister today inaugurated a Bone DEXA Scan Machine and a Fibro Scan Machine at District Hospital Ganderbal, procured under CSR support from HDFC Bank. The newly added facilities are expected to significantly enhance the hospital’s diagnostic capabilities and strengthen healthcare services for the people of the district.
