Dallas Wings (@DallasWings) - Rip DHO Clear Clever by Coach Jose Fernandez here: Arike sets a backscreen for Clark and then receives the handoff from Shepard. Arike gets to the middle while Paige, AC, and Jess clear to one side. Defense can't help off Azzi Fudd. Arike and1.

Lakers have used two separate coverages to double KD. The first is called ‘hot’ coverage; more exotic and straight out of Europe. This is a switch and send the double from one pass away, similar to a NEXT switch. The tag comes to the fleeting defender and the shell rotates accordingly. The second is a basic ‘blitz’ where the short roller is tagged, forming the protection triangle. Lakers are extremely conscious of where Reed Sheppard is out of their traps. Luckily, he only saw 10 minutes last night. To be blunt, Udoka is getting circles coached around him the first two games of this series. 👇🏼

Tom Izzo shares an uncomfortable truth about earning your spot. "You play real good, you start. You don't play as good, you work your way back in." "That's the American way - except America has gotten soft." You don't get what you want in life - you get what you earn. It starts with showing up and earning it every single day. No shortcuts...Just hard work. (🎥@CBBonFOX )

Shane Battier shares a must-listen on what it really means to be a champion, how to be a great teammate, and how to make an impact. "The sign says, 'Champions are made when no one is looking.' I sorta laugh at that sign because there is no better sign to sum up my career than that. I lived that literally." Here's why: "My last few years in the NBA, I was first or last, depending on how you look at it - in a stat called time per possession...I was the NBA's version of hot potato." Then he did the math: "I found out that 98% of the time I was on the court, I didn't touch the ball. Only 2% of the time I actually physically touched it." "Most people watch the player with the ball or guarding the ball. So literally, when I say 'champions are made when no one's watching' - no one is watching me for 98% of the time." "But yet I was an integral part of my team. I was an integral piece in my coach's sweat when I didn't play." How did he do it? "I always looked at ways to impact the game. Boxing out. Taking charges. Sexy plays like running back on defense. All of these made up my 98% of time spent away from the ball." 98% invisible, but 100% essential. You don't have to score to make an impact on the game. The best teammates own their role. They are willing to put the team first over individual glory. (🎥 The Nantucket Project)

Appreciate the NOW. Rick Pitino is spot on. Every player’s hourglass runs out faster than they think. One day, the practices, the games, the grind - it’s all gone. Cherish every rep, every moment, every opportunity. Don’t waste your sand. ⏳

Damian Lillard: "I wouldn't say I'm representing the achilles nation or nothing like that. I do think I represent strength. We are athletes so when we go through injury people act like it's the end of the world because people are used to us being like lifted up and everything being about us but people go through way worse. For me it was more about representing strength. I didn't choose to be weak about it"
