The Prime minister is putting his own interest above the national interest. The buck stops with him and the only decent response is to resign.

Why does Sir Keir Starmer want to be Prime Minister? It’s hard to know. But what’s certain is that Britain is paying the price of having a PM with no interest in doing the job. Perhaps you think ‘all politicians are liars’. Yet the disgraceful appointment of Peter Mandelson points not just to dishonesty, but to a prime minister too idle to ask basic questions and too weak to face the answers. Even by his own defence (fanciful as it is), Starmer has shown himself lacking in any grip, to be lazy in his thinking and, as it turns out, too idle to ask the most basic questions of his staff. In fact, the real scandal is not the appointment of Mandelson - serious though that is - but the woeful direction of our country under Starmer.

This is what real enthusiasm looks like. An incredible team of activists out in Dunmow, getting stuck in and speaking to voters on the doorstep. No big show, just proper campaigning. Polls are open, postal votes are out, now it’s your time to vote to get Britain working again.

The Prime Minister is taking us for fools. He said today that no one in Number 10 knew. On the 12 of September, the FRONT PAGE of the Independent clearly states that “MI6 failed to clear” Mandelson. He wants us to believe no one thought to check? It’s utterly absurd.

Keir Starmer has repeatedly tried to hide the truth about Peter Mandleson. Enough is enough. It's time for him to go.

No more excuses. For the good of our country, Keir Starmer should resign.

There were dozens of credible alternatives for the role of Ambassador to the USA. Mandelson got the job because Keir Starmer wanted a party crony, not a career diplomat - and he made the announcement before vetting was completed. It raises big questions about the PMs judgement.

The Ministerial Code says that Ministers who knowingly mislead Parliament should resign. Why is Keir Starmer still here?

Keir Starmer told us Peter Mandelson had been cleared by the Security Services. He told us the "due process" was followed in Mandelson's appointment. We now know that's simply not true.

Keir Starmer has now sacked everyone involved in Mandelson’s appointment - Chris Wormald, Morgan McSweeney, Olly Robbins. But Starmer was ultimately the one who approved it. He’s got no one left to sack. It’s time for him to take responsibility. He should go.

The Prime Minister appointed Peter Mandelson before the vetting had been completed, vetting Mandelson failed. Starmer then said full due process was followed. THAT is misleading Parliament. I'm only holding him to the same standards to which he’s held previous Prime Ministers - that if they mislead parliament, they should resign. In these dangerous times, Britain cannot afford to have a Prime Minister who the country doesn't trust. Starmer has betrayed our national security. He should go.

No. 10 trying to save PMs skin over whether he misled the house. What was the test set by the Privileges committee that investivated whether Boris Johnson misled the house? It was recklessly misleading, not just intentional.....will Labour MPs hold Starmer to same standard?

It is preposterous for Starmer to claim he did not know Mandelson failed security vetting. If the Prime Minister doesn’t know what’s happening in his own office, he shouldn’t be in charge of our country. He should go.

Last September, Keir Starmer told Parliament three times that “full due process” was followed over the appointment of Lord Mandelson. We now know the Prime Minister misled the House. The Prime Minister must take responsibility.
