Yesterday, after a 9 year wait, the FAA released the Section 2209 NPRM. This is the rule that decides which facilities (power plants, refineries, prisons, stadiums) can permanently ban drones from their airspace. Without it, 50 states have been writing their own drone no-fly rules. A patchwork nightmare for commercial operators. Once finalized: federal airspace for drones on one standard.  Critical for Counter UAS; Equally essential for the FAA 108 BVLOS rule to work. A strong move forward for the US drone industry. $DRNZ
